what was ken even trying to accomplish? making will look bad, shift the target on him? that doesn't seem to jive with his whole "loyalty and integrity" - spiel.
My only theory is that he didn't believe Will, and decided to blow things up because he thought he was getting voted out. Pretty terrible, and up till now I'd thought he'd had a reasonable shot. Might still, oddly.
Basically his strategy is to flip back and forth and vote out everyone who might win.
Does he not know that the people he's betraying and backstabbing are the people will be voting to determine who wins? I guess this is the Sash strategy.
Michelle has a great line in this week's ponderosa vid. I won't spoilt it but I will note that Zeke is now the 4th person confirmed to have lied about his job this season. That must be close to a record.
I was hoping and suspecting that might be the case.

super annoying that this is a "secret" scene and not shown in the friggin show, considering how PIVOTAL it is to the game
wonder what else gets thrown on the cutting room floor in favor of more hot hot reward challenge goodness
definitely need 5 minutes of balls being thrown through hoops every week

Well I assume the reason it wasn't on the show is because it doesn't come into play. But yes and the 5 minutes of loved ones introductions this ep probably bumped it off. If they'd done loved ones later like they normally always do this scene is probably in the ep no matter what happens.
Lol Ken - agree that it's one of the worst moves I've seen on survivor in a long long time
Lol Will - he decides to make his big move anyways and build his resume and all anyone will remember is Adam playing the idol; Will's name will not be stamped in big bright letters on that vote after all. Think he tried to stamp things a little too early - he was nicely executing the strategy of being nothing until late, then trying to shine brightly at the end. Just couldn't pull it off.
Wow Adam - got the loved one visit, gained goodwill by promising not to steal the loved one reward, got rid of the toxic "advantage", played idol correctly. Maybe one of the best eps anyone's had in years.
Meh Sunday/Bret - what is the point of these people in the game.
Sorry - Hannah - you can't win playing like this. You're a goat.
Puzzled - David/Jay - could see either of them winning, but equal chance of being next one eliminated.
As for the loved ones, it dragged on longer than usual it felt like. I guess they all get sappy for a reason and it's primarily that they are truly isolated there - even in the case of the guy who posted ITT about being in Afghanistan, he would have been there with a group of people he could trust with his life and would have been trained for it.
That kind of trust and companionship is what the survivor players lose. You'll notice that the players get way more emotional than the visiting loved ones in general - the players start bawling as soon as loved ones visits are announced. The loved ones come out all happy and smiling and don't start crying until they see their player crying. That indicates to me that it's much less about the "I miss you specifically" than "I miss having someone I can be totally honest with and trust."
In any event, Probst has said as long as he's hosting, there will be loved ones visits so there's no point complaining about it.
Good post. I wouldn't say I really hate the LOV, it's more than doing it at 9 this season is definitely too early.
Holy, just listening to the episode recap on RHAP and Shirin said it takes 3o mins from when Jeff says he's 'tallying the votes' to when they are read. I would have guessed less time.

adam is probably hiding his mom's illness because it's a DISADVANTAGE to reveal it. people will be like "adam's mom is about to die of cancer. he'll win if he gets to final tribal. he needs to go home(and be with his mom)"
The thing that makes Hannah attractive is her teeth.
fyp
I thought there was a thread somewhere on here about minor dental defects making women more attractive. I've always found that to be true. For certain defects, of course.

Works for Kirsten Dunst, her teeth are just slightly off but it makes her even cuter.
yes the atheists are the a-holes. It's us fighting to suppress the lgbtq community, ban Muslims, engage in various theistic wars both historically and current, murdering abortion doctors, trying to enshrine bigotry into law all over the US and supporting Trump.
Theism, all about love.
Get this AIDS out of here, no one comes to a survivor thread hoping to see this
I always wonder if the editing sometimes misleads us into thinking someone is stupider than we think. I almost think we had to be missing something that might explain why Ken would take the gift of Will flipping and immediately try to blow it up. I have been rooting for Ken and don't want to believe he could be that dumb.
Also, Jay is playing a very solid social game and is probably the most likely out of all of them to go on an IC run. He also has the HII so I think he is in a pretty good position.
Just watched Jessica's Ponderosa. There are two different people pretending to be Jessica in that video. One with crazy eyes, and one without. WTF is going on?
I think another thing with the emotions with the loved ones visit is the shared experience. You're going to be primed to be more emotional after seeing the happiness of one of your tribe mates seeing their wife etc and that is going to build on top of one another.
I suppose but they all seem to start bawling instantaneously as soon as Jeff mentions the loved ones are there. I honestly think the stress of 30 days in those conditions is what gets them, it is probably harder than any of them thought. Loved one probably feels like a lifeline at that point.
I don't mind the loved one ep, a little cheesy but it's a nice change of pace also.
Looked like Adam hadn't told anyone his mum is dying. Jay didn't mention it at all. I don't enjoy watching him cry but it made me like him more, because at least he's not pretending.
