Who's the idiot that decided Fiji in the middle of cyclone season was a good idea?

I was disappointed that they got evacuated, they should have been forced to suffer through the night.

I've gone to the Caribbean during hurricane season. No big deal. Usually.

There is a huge difference between being there in hurricane season and being there during an actual hurricane. This was an actual hurricane (called a cyclone in that part of the world). No chance they are leaving a bunch of people on an unprotected beach during an actual hurricane.

Leaving those idiot millennials there on the beach during the cyclone would've been great.

First official gen-xer '65. 2 trophies in 10 years of sports. We had a no walk rule when I was 8. You either struck out, hit the ball or the ball hit you. No machine. No tee. No coach pitch. Got on base maybe 3 times all season. Learned how to fail. Makes you want to get better.

Lived in MN for 12 years. Throw Sunday from a cliff. That voice.

I think there's like a 5 year bleeding period between every 'generation'. Like 60-65 your slightly too young to be a boomer but slightly too old for Gen X. 80-85 your slightly too young for Gen x and slightly too old for Millennials.

I bet anyone born in 2000 and is in high school right now won't really identify with the Millennial generation that grew up during the dawn of internet technology; they will be the first group that just has always had those things.

They kept the imaginary bff stuff to minimum this episode. Hope it continues.

I can't imagine a worse, more destructive job, than bible translator/missionary. It's like these people know nothing about the history of colonialism.

Cast one of the worst in a long time, if not the worst ever. Honestly not trying to exaggerate, I've never before complained about a cast.

Did you also shoot a multi-million dollar 40-day show while there?

I've also been in the Caribbean during hurricane season. You're right, no big deal.

I have also been in the Caribbean in the middle of an actual hurricane. Very big deal.

Michelle will probably be a more satisfying winner than whoever takes this season down.

yeah, i'd take that "advantage" and chuck it in the ocean, or better yet openly give it to an enemy. and if i got voted out with it, i'd will it vindictively

what is the name of the millennial guy who said he is in love with the girl?

is it clear how the advantage will get passed after the person gets voted out? i dont think it said whether itd be done publicly or privately. makes a big difference

either way that wouldnt really affect my strategy during the game at all. other than if i had an idol later in the game id use it earlier just to make it to day 36. but i prob wouldnt do anything with the legacy part. the only way it benefits anyone else is if you get voted out

Guessing since it would be "willed" to someone, it would be private.

In my re-watch Probst says

Genx = 1963 - 1983
Millennials = 1985 -1997

So I guess if you are born in 1984 then you're a nobody.

They probably just made up dates like everyone does to fit people that were cast on the show. That's why I hate these types of theme seasons. They just group people together and make a big deal out of how they all think or act alike and it's mainly just bs.

Hell, I like to **** on Millennials as much as the next guy but most of their idiotic behaviour in the first episode is what we've seen from the dopey, clueless 20-somethings they have cast since season 1.

Snake People generation generally starts with 1982, because they graduated high school in 2000

So yeah the years were completely arbitrary to fit the theme

According to the Census Bureau, the old guy is a Baby Boomer. Boomers are 46 to 64. Millennials are 82 to 00. Gen X is just the lost tribe of years in between.

What happened to Generation Y? People born 70's to early 80's? They were certainly not Gen X'ers, and certainly not millennials as the current definition and stereo type applies. Someone who was teenager pre modern internet and cell phones and graduating in the late 90's has literally zero in common with someone born in 1997.

They really ham fisted this premise and fudged the numbers. Should have just been old vs young.
