Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
You guys seriously need to start providing cliffs for the +10 paragraph great wall of china, blocks of text that continue to clutter the thread
We need more gifs/chops/pics to break up the monotony
I'll start it off

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
which is why I don't care to get in these arguments, and would prefer to go back to making fun of the people who get into them.
I'm not trying to argue whether any play in any situation ever in the history of Survivor was good or bad. I'm just trying to point out when I see an argument that's becoming "common knowledge", which I don't think has been properly reasoned.
I'm very defensive about this cast and this season, and very frustrated with the school of thought that this season sucks compared to HvV. A) I don't think this season is that bad, B) I think this season has a great cast, and C) I don't think HvV is nearly as good as it's given credit for.
But whatever, I'll leave you Survivor experts be. Keep on informing us who the "good players" are and what massive mistakes are being made.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
(a) i think this season is only being portrayed as bad because the last 2-3 have been so good.
(b) i think there's potential with this year's cast but so far it hasn't been great (it usually gets better post-merge, though).
(c) HvV is one of my favorite seasons of survivor ever. just so many "NO-WAY" moments that made for awesome television.
but whatever, this is a 2p2 survivor thread and no one ever changes their mind, so it doesn't matter.

I think the whole Marty/Kelly B has been properly reasoned for quite awhile with the amount of negatives to keeping Marty over someone like Kelly B through many people. As well as the other way.

I don't think you understand the difference between bad, and dumb and are getting the two confused with one another. This season is full of stupid, and dumb players. However that doesn't make it a bad season, it is just making it a more exciting one which I am in the party of.
This is a TV show and one shouldn't get angered by a TV show. Not everyone though is going to like a season that you like, or the cast in them and have that same opinion that you do so it is good to keep a open mind of being tolerant to others. Flaming someone about a tv show is just beyond stupid. I think what most people liked about HvV was that it wasn't just one sided.
There were alliances that flipped, and broke, and didn't stay the same throughout. It wasn't just a season of pick the opposite side off one by one. And then you had one of the most interesting characters to ever play this game which was Russell.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
yeah hard to read those big walls of text. maybe take quotes one at a time. not sure why you guys are getting so serious into these arguments. hard to know how bad and good people are playing when its basically just the editing that decides.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
No way Sash goes home yet, he's been built up far too much as a villain to not have a significant post-merge presence.
I'm going with Marty or Benry. I want to believe that Marty will last, but it definitely feels like his arc is winding down. Considering that barely anyone left really appears to like him, a merge episode boot would make sense for Marty.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
Whoever gets blamed for taking the food, or possibly a big game move. So Na will be involved with either being caught or pawning it on who she wants to go home.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
Episode 8: Web Promo
Transcript:
Fabio: We're merging!
Announcer: The tribes are united
Marty: I've been given a new lease on life.
Announcer: But one castaway wants to spoil the party.
Naonka: I've been stealing equipment, taking spoons. I'm taking fruit.
Alina [eating fruit]: I can't believe you've got all this stuff.
Marty: Where's the flour?
Fabio: What about the frying pan?
Probst: So Naonka works overtime to tear everyone apart.
Fabio [camera confessional]: I was pretty frustrated...when we realized all these things were missing.
Fabio [at camp]: It doesn't make any sense!
Naonka [eating fruit]: It tastes better when you're stealing it.
Announcer: To survive the ultimate sin...
Marty: She lied and she stole.
Announcer: She'll have to outlast the others.
Jeff Probst: Individual immunity is what you seek.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
I kinda wonder if the whole Samoa Galu disaster will make players significantly less likely to turn on their own this early. It usually goes in waves, and Samoa + Tocantins are two seasons where the small alliance came from behind.
Then again, they're already talking about Alina, and she was the most likely target anyway, so...yeah.
