It wouldn't matter and the intended target would go home in the re-vote regardless

Jill voting Marty or vice versa would only make sense if there was an even amount of people splitting the vote (ex: 6 or 4) this way she could alter the 2Jill-2Marty-2Jane split by throwing hers on Marty 2Jill-3Marty-1Jane

Because there were 5 people voting against them, it had to be either a 5-0 or 3-2 vote since they no longer had the idol. Throwing an individual vote in either direction doesn't change anything since it only postpones the inevitable decision to be re-made in the re-vote

But if no one approaches them about voting with them, their two votes are meaningless anyway, so they should vote for each other.

Jill votes Marty and it goes from 3Jill-2Marty-2Jane to 3Jill-3Marty-1Jane and she gets nipped in the re-vote anyway if that's what the majority originally intended

I think they were aware of this and decided to use their votes as throwaways on Jane as a display of loyalty

Throwing votes on each other (even if only 1 of them does this) changes nothing if there is an odd number in the majority (my math 2 posts above)

That was a smart move by them

But it is unnecessary since they can drop all 5 votes on whoever they want without fear of consequence (1 idol with Naonka and the other now safely in Sash's possession)

It was a meaningless split and it could have backfired in a vacuum (see the hypothetical double agent post above)

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Is it a given that there are only 2 idols at one time? I'm sure they may have thought Marty or Jill had another idol somehow and that was the reason behind the vote split.

Yea that's a stipulation, only 2 idols in play at any given time

Once an idol gets used, it is reinserted into the game

No point in loyalty when it's one or the other going home. At least by voting for each other, you have a non-zero chance of no tie due to someone pulling a Tyson. That's better than showing loyalty to someone you won't be able to play the game with.

It's really annoying me for some reason.
This please.

Good. That means she has no shot to actually win the game

I feel like putting any strategic significance on anyones actions this season is ******ed, sash is potentially the only competent one of the bunch.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

I like how Marty is mad at Jane for voting for him when he so easily agreed to vote her out. I know it's sort of an act to cover his ass, but he's kinda mad. Do we have any idea if he give Jane a heads up before last TC that La Flor told him the vote was supposed to be her according to the Pubes?

I know it's a game, but I don't believe you can make Sash's comment about being content to sit around and let other people do the work to provide for your comfort unless you would have no problem tending toward that type of attitude in life. I know a guy who would break out in hives if he heard Sash say that. Or punch Sash in the teeth, maybe.

Chase is such a nice guy. I don't like his chances, but I wouldn't hate it if he wins.

Atta boy, Probst. Put his feet to the fire.

These people are so crazy. They still didn't vote Marty. And he gave Sash the idol. Loon. Oh, son of a...and a merge. *&^$^$, Jill for ever making him tell he had the idol.

Confirmed worst season of the show's history. How can this possibly follow last season? So brutal. I think I might watch Fiji again!

See, I don't get this. Fabio is not an ugly guy, but I find him pretty unattractive. Dumb is a deal breaker.

This season is the equivalent of watching a final table filled with 1c/2c players, half of whom dont know hand rankings.

You guys are drunk. How is Benry not going to be percieved as such a huge IIC threat that he is targeted as soon as possible post merge? And both HIIs are tied up so he can't use those save himself.

I'm pretty sure he is currently in charge of nothing.

He will be seen as a huge threat for the rest of the game. Both because of challenges and because he seems to be well liked.

He could organize a resistance (with the help of Marty) against the Brenda/Chase, Sash, Naonka alliance, but I'm going to have to see that happen before I feel inclined to jump on his wagon because he has a lot going against him.

Wait a minute. Nevermind. Obviously, I am no judge of who people are going to see as a threat based on La Flor's last two votes. Carry on.

What do you guys think of Dan going super deep? He is never going to win a challenge and if he trusts you he will never betray you. Seems like the perfect guy to take with you in hopes the jury sees he doesn't need the money and barley played the game.

How do you know that Chase and Nay are still with Sash and Brenda?

I think it is going to be a cluster **** for the most part and that would help out Benry a lot.

Exactly. It's like trying to rationalize loose canon's decisions in the big game in the televised forum. You start asking at first when you see some hands they played that didn't make sense but after you've seen enough of their play you realize they are just random donks who happened to be there.

Obviously none of these people have watched the show before. They're just doing random things. I'm beginning to think even THE coach would have a shot this season (ok he wouldn't). Pretty embarrassing that one of these people will win a million dollars.

PS: Is this the first time we see purple Kelly? I forgot she existed.

Exactly the reason that when really weak physically players make it to the merge they become invisible. If he doesn't quit or be evacuated he is the perfect guy to take to the final.

Edit: Having said that these idiots will probably vote him out next.
