Obviously just my personal opinion, so try not to flame too hard
I agree that Parv played an objectively better game that season. She was my #1 when I said Sandra was 2.

I agree Sandra was in the right place at the right time. What we disagree on is you think it was by accident and I think it was good maneuvering.

Edit: I don't tend to flame unless in defense.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

yea, last year i actually stopped participating in the thread once i saw a couple people (untouchable, kartinken, others) posting saying they were leaving the thread because they saw spoilers. some people are obviously only interested in being "right", so won't admit it, and start doing things like kos mentioned. calling sandra anything other than a potential c-block for the villains last season is pretty suspicious in hindsight.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

i generally think anyone who isn't heavily featured but makes it deep is playing the game pretty well. While it isn't always true, the majority of the time the people who get all the air time are either GOAT contenders(or at least of their own season) or absolute jokes/trainwrecks. The ones who are a notch below but still playing the game well are lost in the shuffle. But then i think letting others implode around you is a pretty good strategy.

I think I proved that there's nothing suspicious about being a Sandra fan. I supported her and was clearly not spoiled at the time. Assuming Sandra fans were spoiled is pretty silly, imo.

Sandra definitely made a lot of key maneuvers to put her in a good position to go deep in the game as an outsider (such as being key in Coach's ousting and waiting until JT was booted to attempt (LOL Candice) to switch to the Heroes and reverse the 5-4 Villains edge)

But what kills me kartinken, is that the jury once again was bias and bitter. JT was clearly butthurt about his ousting, Amanda was bitter about Micronesia, and Colby was just fricking useless.

If you havn't seen the Ponderosa videos, footage all but implied that all of the heroes were sitting down to dinner and agreeing to vote as a bloc

great post

I followed the S20 thread pretty religiously last season and I don't recall
seeing any spoilers except for maybe excessive Sandra love on episodes where she wasn't too visible.

I was unfortunately spoiled by a random youtube comment for a survivor clip, which said "OMG SANDRA, PARVATI, RUSSELL F3" and "JT goes out in 10th"

I was royally pissed and prayed each week that something would happen to make the spoilers incorrect, but everything fell into place after JT was booted

It amazes me that people would actually seek out spoilers, completely ruins it

As has been said here, some people care more about being right/knowing more than others than anything.

lol @ being right in survivor. Its like poker you have to judge how people are playing to see if they are good at the game, not based off one result.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

The editors threw in a bunch of stuff to make Sandra look smart and sneaky last season, it wasn't the least bit surprising to me that she had fans.

It was the people who believe the only "proper" way to play Survivor is by wheeling and dealing and winning challenges who got their panties in a bunch about the Sandra love. And now they assume that people who liked Sandra must have been spoiled. What a shock.

I already feel myself getting annoyed by this thread...uhoh

Agreed. People want Sandra fans to be spoiled b/c if they weren't spoiled it brings up the possibility they don't understand what it means to be good at the game.

Every jury on every season of survivor has been biased. It's part of what makes survivor so awesome.

Absolute Russell haters don't understand it all that well either. There's lots of stuff that he does well that Sandra doesn't.

Just so annoying that people feel like things need to be so black and white, that either one strategy or the other is THE ONLY WAY TO PLAY OR ELSE YOU'RE NOT GOOD AT THE GAME. Give it a break already.

I've admitted to a lot that Russell does well (assuming you were referring to me). It gets eclipsed by the less reasonable members of this forum yelling at me for not thinking he's remotely close to GOAT.

I agree that there's multiple ways to play it and the best strategy not only changes season to season, but day to day. That's why I feel people here overvalue long term planning. It can create tunnel vision.

Decided to unblock KK to give him a chance on this new season.

10 minutes later, back to blocked.

KK - thing that bugs me about you is not your opinions, it's the sheer volume of posts that you make, repeating the same points over and over. It's like you enjoy being the loudest voice in the room and really like hearing yourself talk.

Of the past 20 posts itt, 9 of them were yours. It's not the ****ing kk show.

That's cool, I don't need everyone to read or enjoy my posts. Posting here is a fun hobby for me, so I respond to the interesting topics. Don't believe I repeated myself in this thread however.

Edit: What DOES get repetitive, and I am not the only one who thinks so, are the unprovoked bashings of me. You could have just re-blocked me and not posted about it. (obv this is a PSA for future haters)

God, I wish we could have two threads for this show. I have a ton of people blocked, but it's still not enough (especially since people quote the guys I have blocked).
