Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Tyrone got voted off the island! Didn't expect that one! Good move long term as he would have been harder to beat in competitions.

And what was up with NaOnka?!?! lol The hard ass turned into a pussycat once she started getting wet, and even wanted to quit!?!?

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

The thing I hated about this episode is how much it reminded us that it's staged. In the previous two episodes pretty much the entire female cast of the younger tribe was using the buff as a bra. Then suddenly, just before Jeff orders them to "Drop your buffs" they all switch to an armband or headband. Pretty obvious they were told about the switch before-hand and the reactions of shock to the announcement were faked.

big brother tells contestants how to dress for challenges, survivor could easily do the same. "don't wear the buffs on your torso today ladies" could easily be par for the course from time to time.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Alina is playing the best game, imo. especially after watching her scene from cbs.com this week, where she seems very level-headed and realistic. Her social skills are probably the best or second best this season, she seemingly works hard both at camp and in the challenges. Plus, she knows where she is at always and she managed to catch a break with this switch after Chase betrayed her and her group.

She has always reminded me of Amber from Survivor in the looks department, as we as how she plays the game. She needs to figure out how to get the numbers on her side, and she could go far!

I think it's crazy to rank Naonka above Alina. Would most like to see Marty and Brenda make it to FTC at this point.

I'm glad to see people hopping on the Alina bandwagon, she's a lot better at the game than most players from her demographic. Also, watch the vids on CBS, Kelly Purple actually says something and Sash is confirmed irl gos.

I hope La Flor loses next week, I want to see Sash + Brenda vs. Marty + Fabio

I don't see how you can say she's playing the best game when she and KB were the next two on the chopping block just last week. I do think she has potential; she's definitely growing on me, and she's clearly in better shape with the way the swap worked out, but she's still got a tougher path than several of the other kids.

When trying to make my power rankings, I wrote down 7 or 8 names, one of which was Alina...but I crossed her out pretty quickly. Can she improve her status? Absolutely. She's not there yet, though. She needs to solidify a "real" alliance outside of KB to improve her standing imo.

Like someone posted earlier in this thread I'm surprised how now Holly is totally normal again after being a psycho-woman in the beginning, with the whole shoe thing and admitting it

Has everyone (except dan probably ) forgotten she did that?

So it turns out 100% of the population does not know that hens lay eggs and roosters do not. That about right? How in purple hell did they manage to put an entire team together that had zero members who know this?

I didn't understood the logic of eating a chicken before tribal. You would think it would be much more beneficial to eat one a few hours before a challenge.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

I have come to say how much I hate Nayonka or however you spell her name. Shes a teacher? really, remind me not to send my kid there.
Atleast she signed her own death cert.
In any case haven't kept up much with this thread but obv obv all into the season.
I though Marty was playing a good game prior to the tribe switch, leads when he needs, follows when he needs. Tyrone stepping up was a mistake. When you have a bunch of "kids" who think they are hot ****, you need to let them take control for a bit.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

There was not twenty-four hours in that day…
it was like twenty-six, but it felt like forty-eight

I know we've only known each other
for four weeks and three days...

...but to me, it seems like
nine weeks and five days.

The first day seemed like a week.

And the second day seemed like five days.

And the third day
seemed like a week again.

And the fourth day seemed like eight days.

But the fifth day
you went to see your mother...

...and that seemed just like a day.

But then you came back, and later...

...on the sixth day, in the evening,
when we saw each other...

...that started seeming like two days.

So in the evening, it seemed
like two days spilling into the next day...

...and that started seeming like four days.
So, at the end of the sixth day...

...on into the seventh day,
it seemed like a total of five days.

And the sixth day seemed like
a week and a half.

I have it written down, but I can show it
to you tomorrow if you want to see it.

lol. my thoughts exactly... plus they should of ate a chicken the next day after someone was voted out... more for each person and if they still get rid of tyrone, it is like half a chicked for each person.

dont mess with a black man and his chicken bro

nay said that, i wouldn't neccesarily agree that makes it fact. Regardless, she was in trouble but that wasn't at much fault of her own. Chase made what looks to me to be a pretty dumb decision going from at least the middle of the pack in his old alliance to bottom of totem pole in new alliance(I'm not of the opinion that she should have been able to predict that). Plus, she's now managed to win NaOnka over it seems, and that is no easy task, so i'm not convinced she wouldn't have done something similar on the other side. If you can move and shake and WIN jury votes rather then lose them, you are def doing something right. I think her and Brenda are the two most capable of doing that this season.
