Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Just to clear it up, is the Power Rankings for who has the best chance to go deep in the game or who has the best chance to win?

For example: Naonka has a great chance of going deep if she doesn't quit, but a very low chance of actually winning

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

What is up with Marty saying Holly and Jane sealed their own fate by voting for Dan? Holly said Marty didn't even discuss voting with her. How is she supposed to know who or who not to vote for?

Does Alina have a beard? I hope that's dirt.

Oh, I'm not liking this for Tyrone. Please quit Shanaynay. Don't tease me now.

Can't imagine why anyone would want to divorce Nay.

Also can't believe there is discussion of keeping the tribe strong, yet no discussion of getting rid of Dan.

Poor Tyrone. No more funny face.

I think it's because Marty played so hard and alienated Jane and Holly, giving them incentive to look for alternate avenues. Youngs instantly wanted to reallign with each other because olds were stuffy and controlling.

I don't know if it's his talking or his "I'm so much better than you" tone. I'm thinking both are bad, but the latter is way worse.

Marty will have Fabio's trust in no time imo. He still has Jill too. So we will see if Marty gets blindsided or crushes... i hope its the latter

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Just absurd how dumb the old people are. I guess it's easier watching this from afar, but why not stick together and try to get someone to flip?

With the people quitting... what did you expect? I know these aren't lifelong fans of the show, but what did you think "Survivor" would be?

Agree with Kos about Marty showing the idol. I do think it would be better doing it in a different manner, maybe pulling a few people aside and seeing if the word spreads. This way he could build some interpersonal relationships instead of being too bold in front of the entire group.

Seems right. I have a tendency to think too much in terms of numbers/basic loyalty on switches. I definitely did not expect Jane and Holly to be such outcasts because of one vote, but they made it clear in the opening that they were toast without a swap.

But it's not like Dan and Tyrone were super close to Marty. Maybe Dan, but he was more of a follower.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

I'm glad they mixed it up but I wish they would have went with the schoolyard style to see first and last picks.

They're showing Marty saying too many dumb things for him not to be blindsided soon imo

Not surprised Brenda was best at her part of the 2nd challenge

Eve and Alina looking better and better need more Purple Kelly

Tyrone was really disappointing. I was voting for him but I don't understand why he wouldn't go along with eating the chickens and why he wouldnt want to eat them in the first place. Seems like it would take weeks of eggs to be as much food as one chicken.

I don't know who to vote for now. Benry? I guess I'll hope the hotties stay on as long as possible and Fabio sticks around to pull some kind of ice cream scooper Eric with around 7 left

I agree. I love watching Marty. At first I thought that he might be better than Russel since he is better politically, but after tonights episode I think he's in for some trouble.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Marty might be ok. He'll probably get Judd on his side since dude has no one, same with Kelly B. 4 is enough for a tie, plus if he can use the idol on himself/Jill (whichever is going to get the votes) its an automatic power shift to him.

For the record, I didn't see it coming either. I thought Kelly B and Alina would be looking to reallign with Greys since they were in a terrible position with the Pubes. Holly and Jane were previously so passive, I didn't expect them to immediately scramble the way they did. I felt kind of stupid watching it unfold.

Looks like Sash is screwed now..*****y he and Brenda left on his tribe and a brother getting voted out first on the other tribe.

Marty plays too hard too early. But I'm still not ready to write him off just yet. He has the idol. If he can swing Kelly B and Fabio, he might have a shot*. Also, I was trying to write down the new tribes from memory and could NOT remember Kelly purple.

*And by have a shot, I mean, to advance Jill in the game. As we progress he seems less and less likely to be able to get the votes if he makes it to the end. I'm a big believer in the power of friendship and spite.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Now I'm not sure how to rank. Three of my top five was comprised of Yellow tribe members, and I feel like I still need more information from that side. Are Fabio and Kelly B really going to reallign with their former enemies? Will they see that Tyrone got voted out, expect a Pube sweep on the other side and NOT want to fall back into their old position come a merge? Should I move Benry into my top five? How can he not be a popular target following a merge? He has to be. I'd like to rate both Marty/Jill and Brenda highly, but they are contradictory. Do I need to start showing Sash some love? Who the **** is Kelly Purple? Is Yve toast? Surely there is at least a Dan cushion over there. Will Naynay quit? Will Alina remember that Naynay wanted her dead?

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

after tonight Nay is without question the worst person to ever play. It's actually amazing how many traits of a bad player she possesses.

1) she is Russell bad at the social game
2) she is Austin bad at surviving
3) she is old person bad at the physical challenges
4) now she wants to quit cause SHOCKER! it rains on survivor

It's like NASA was funded a billion dollars to develop the single worst player scientifically possible.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Very impressed with Alina for comforting Nay and then totally trashing her in her confessional. Traits like that are huge in survivor. I think she's got a deep run in her probably top 4 with decent potential to steal a victory from a more outspoken player(somebody like Marty).

I don't think there's been a negative thing shown about Brenda. She's the editors golden child. She's either going deep and most likely winning or Marty is going to somehow pull off a great move and boot her. It's interesting that she is being edited like Rob M and Marty is being edited like Russell. Makes me lean toward Marty getting the upper hand.

Overall a very meh episode. After they showed Holly wavering in the opening it was pretty clear that one of the oldies was in deep trouble.

Yeah, I agree with this. WE don't like her, but she appears to have more friends than Marty on the show.

I like Marty. This season is pretty bad for an average audience imo. I have heard some radio stations around here say it is the worst season in a while. I guess following HvV is insanly tough, but to a hardcore viewer this is going to be a good season

Huh? Alina hates her guts as she said tonight and Brenda was clearly just using her for the idol. Maybe she connected a little with Holly. Pretty much everyone else clearly loathes her.
