It was smart to vote out Jane as she seemed the most capable. She would have won against anybody who was left at this point.

I haven't watched S1 since it originally aired, but iirc Rudy was as far from utr as anyone who played that season.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
I really want Chase to make the final 3. I predict he is going to look compellingly awkward when the tough questions start coming.

I don't think there's some iron clad 3-way alliance. Everytime we have thought there was an alliance this season that was gonna run the game, the next week one of them was voted out.
Dan and Fabio almost certainly made the correct play voting Jane out.

Well I put Fabio last because I thought it was predict the order of finish. Fabio will likely finish 5th imo because he is 100% gone if he doesn't win immunity at Final 5.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
Sash can't win after the **** he's pulled, LOL. He could beat Dan and would be even money with Chase. 100% loses vs Fabio and Holly.
I think earlier I said Holly>Fabio>Sash>Chase>Dan (not including the ones voted off) and it looks like it still stands.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
Im going out on a limb and predicting DAN wins over CHASE & SASH.
I don't actually think this will happen but it's possible...(jane + marty(?) +... = dan win!)
I think Sash really hurt himself with the mortgage thing and Chase is just such a buffoon it's gonna be hard for those two to get votes...

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
I can't even disagree with that because it's probably really close. Dan might have the spite vote going for him. It's clear no one will like Sash anymore, and Chase just shot himself in the face with his stupidity at the last tribal council. The jury lost respect for him. He speaks like a 10 year old and that will hurt him in the FTC.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
I just watched the Russell season for the first time and seriously I think he played the GOAT game. He didn't really seem to "backstab" anybody. The jury seemed like a bunch of nits for not liking to get blindsided. He took an8-4 disadvantage at the merge to 3/4 of those at FTC? Incredible. The dude found TWO idols without a ****ing clue and then the third with someone following him. He should have won for his second idol play alone. Now that I finally saw every episode that is the single GOAT moment. I mean jesus I don't think anyone ever deserved a win more than him.
His second time playing there was like a 0% chance of him winning though.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
I am reading Bill Simmons NFL week 15 pick column and I see this in the sidebar "Miller Lite: Man Up" Section
http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2...s&sportCat=nfl
Quote:
MILLER LITE MAN UP
A lame "Survivor" season hit a nadir this week when host Jeff Probst tried to sway a Tribal Council. I won't bore you with the gory details, and I don't blame Probst because he was as bored as we were. But after 10 years, the most influential reality show ever is finally running out of steam. You know things are rough when the Ponderosa (a series of web clips featuring voted-off Survivors killing time between jury appearances) is somewhere between 10 and 25 times more interesting than the actual show.
After Russell's spectacular season and the equally spectacular all-star season that followed, it was inevitable the series would lose momentum with another ordinary season of newbies. But there's a bigger issue here: The show simply stopped trying. They haven't raised the $1 million prize from Season 1. This year's gimmick was "Old versus New," which wasn't the worst idea of all time, but definitely cracked the top 10. (Within a few weeks, they scrapped it entirely and just mixed up the tribes.) The series hit the same "Groundhog Day"-like beats every season, like this week's predictable episode when family members returned to the island, then jogged clumsily toward crying Survivors in slow motion. (And you're sitting there saying, "Hmmm, I wonder if this is going to lead toward someone being bitter that they didn't get picked for the rewards challenge … oh, wait, that's every time.") And the show hasn't realized that in the HD era maybe we don't want to see unshowered old people running around in skimpy clothing for 13 episodes.
Here's what bugs me: The fixes are easy. Raise the prize to $2 million. Get rid of the old farts, because they never win. Change the seasonal format to more fan-friendly ideas like "Studs versus Hotties" (so it's not a borderline tragedy every time the one gorgeous contestant gets voted off -- like Brenda this season) and team captains (which they're rumored to be doing next season, with Russell and Boston Rob as captains). Bring back old contestants as foils for challenges, like MTV did by bringing back CT as an "assassin" for a "Challenge" gulag two weeks ago. But keep pushing. When your host is so bored that he's openly messing with crucial moments of the show, it's time to Man Up.

How this particular thread isn't overwhelming rooting for Holly baffles me.
Edit: It doesn't baffle me that much :P

She had a terrible early game, to be sure. But she recovered like no one else to play by FAR the best strategic game.
This thread loves crazy people. Russell is the number 1 favorite.

I totally agree with both of those things. But I still think it's undeniable from the edit that holly played the best strategic game which is what I thought this thread cared about most.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
its one of the things we like. but we dont really like sash either and hes played pretty well. i think what this thread likes is
1- entertaining tv
2 good strategic game
3 a person you could stand winning the game(likable)
just a rough list. made fast. could change it more later

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
This thread likes unique, entertaining crazies. There are lots of Hollys and Naonkas and they aren't that fun to watch. Coach and Russell on the other hand...
