S22 has just reached the merge (I assume they each had immunity until the merge, as part of their mentor roles, and are still in the running)

Im going to assume 1 of 2 things:
-Rob has the numbers advantage and Russell has 2 idols in his pocket, so it should be a clusterf*ck until 1 goes down
-Or they are both smart enough to get rid of everyone else and position themselves for the F2 against each other in order to give themselves a chance like kartinken said

I hope they both get knocked off ASAP as I can't wait to watch the Ponderosa videos, which always provide the laughs each season

I saw several posts before mentioning the S22 theme, mentor island with immunity for the mentors until the merge, the only thing thats not known is if Rob and Russell are actually competing or serving as outside helpers or something

I apologize if i spoiled anything, I assumed I was just reiterating upon previous posts in this thread

For example, Rob and Russell supposedly each get a tribe member to mentor, having some sort of stake if they reach the finals and win

Can we please stop posting anything related to season 22? I understand you're just speculating they made the merge or whatever but this spoils it for the rest of us who don't want to have any idea what's gonna happen when watching it for the first time. I didn't even want to know they were having a rob & russell season but then I opened this thread. I had no idea about the HvV season until Probst announced it at the finale of S19 which felt amazing watching it for the first time being totally clueles.

yeah the extra online content the survivor crew puts out is incredible, some really funny stuff.

If R+R are full contestants in S22 with immunity to the merge.... I mean, I just don't know what to say. That's worse than any idea kartinken has ever come up with. It's honestly the most screwed-up and ******ed thing I've heard in my life. And the fact that people will be anxious to see a horrible abomination of a gimmick season like that makes me question why I don't just bite the bullet and completely quit watching television.

I can't believe how out of touch with the viewership CBS is. Russell is played out, and 50% of viewers have despised him from the beginning.

At least the old seasons remain rewatchable for me.

there are countless posts before mine discussing the "mentor island, rob vs russell" theme for s22, with several posters speculating about information that there was immunity until the merge for the mentors or that each mentor was an outside player of the game who had an individual stake in a tribe member of their choice (meaning not actually in the game)

I was only building upon all of that information previously discussed, realizing that S22 is 20somewhat days into shooting

Any concrete information or evidence about the season is going to be impossible to obtain until after shooting wraps up and the crew and cast return to the public

I like you, vyk, but you're totally in the wrong here. It's different to speculate about the theme of S22 than it is to say, "They're at the merge right now, and Player X is still in." People like me who don't read Sucks or any spoiler stuff kinda consider all the rumors we hear to be pure speculation, so when you make seemingly concrete claims about what is happening, it's a spoiler, regardless of what it is. I don't really even know how the spoilers work (like, how are they able to give up-to-the-minute spoilers when the only people there are the players and the production crew?), but I don't want to know how accurate they might be, and I'd like to just pretend that they don't even exist.

My intention was to solidify the discussed statement that each mentor would get immunity until the merge, which I was trying to validate as true due to the fact that each still remain at the island, given that it is now past the merger. I had no intention to spoil anything, just comment and/or validate past statements/speculations
