Wasn't surprised JT won. Was surprised Stephen didn't get a single vote. Didn't expect that. Entirely possible that I'm dim though.

Stephen was also horrendous at the last tribal council

@Jeff Probst Also during the live reunion show on Sunday, we will be announcing a BIG reveal for the next season of Survivor. Game changing.
Sigh. Sounds like the rumors are true.

Hopefully Johnny Chan is on. But with the strength of Rob vs Russell rumors and really no rumors saying it isn't them, they were more like facts.

Hopefully the season is entertaining and I am sure it will be compared to this one. Only like Sash and Fabio, don't like anyone else.

I think Stephen played a better strategic game, but JT played the social game better, and the latter is much more important.

Spoiler:
It could be just Redemption Island and not Rob vs. Russell. Still pretty awkward though

I'm psyched for this week, obv. finale on Sunday and tonight somebody could randomly end up as the casualty of two idols being played (last opportunity afaik)

re. Stephen: I think the reason he gave such a poor FTC speech was because he knew he'd already lost. Put him up against Erinn or Taj and I think he does a lot better, even if he doesn't really need to (since he beats both of them anyway).

There's no way he's on the show. He already denied it, and have they ever had someone with that thick of an accent? If they ever go down the poker pro road again, I assume it'll be a young player like CTS or Selbst as opposed to a recognizable "TV pro" like Chan.

Spoiler:
RI is actually what I was referring to. I guess I've already (unhappily) accepted the Rob vs. Russell thing. What a complete disaster that's going to be, though. Unless RI is rigged for them, they could both easily be out of the game by the fifth boot. And even though they are two of my all-time favorite players, I'm pretty tempted to root for that to happen. Rob for a fourth time? Russell three times in 20 months? It's just wayyy too much.

Just watched s1e1 and right before reading the results of the first TC, Jeff says something like, "I just want to commend every one of you for making it this far. It's a huge accomplishment, any of you could have turned around at any time. In my book, you have bragging rights for life!"

lol, big change to how he reacts to Nay and PK quitting after 21 days (especially considering they both had a terrible shot at winning).

If there's a Rob vs Russell Survivor the thread will be the very definition of AIDS.

I've hated this season so much that I went out of my way to find final three spoilers (but I'm not using that info in this post). I stopped blogging it after the second Jimmie was voted out. This will go down as just slightly better than Brian the porn guy's season.

I don't know why they never saw Chase as a threat or why they are rewarding the gimp with virtually a free pass to the end (yes, doing nothing, including making no enemies, and being viewed as NOT a threat is a strategy). And I don't like the quitters being allowed to vote on the jury (but apparently they felt that Janu set a precedent for that). On Twitter, Jeff is pimping NaOnka like she was the star of the show, just pointing out that in a season devoid of interesting characters, the least likeable person becomes "interesting."

I have never missed an episode of Survivor, but this season has put my streak under more pressure than osteoporosis put on Brett Favre's.

Because he's not one. Of course, if he wins, I hope they IP ban your ass.

Only in Kos's world is a young, strong, charismatic male who focuses on forming bonds with all the players while all the while maintaining a vocal desire to play with integrity not a threat.

All the hate for this season reminds me a lot of the way people talk about Guatemala. At this point, I've given up trying to sell people on Guatemala, and just accepted that it's an entertaining albeit underrated season without mass appeal. Just like this one.

cash: F6 was the last time in HvV, hence Sandra playing the idol then. I assume that's become standard.

Chase/Holly/Jane are basically interchangeable as far as jury votes go (aside from maybe like Benry voting for Chase but not Jane), which is why Sash's decision was even more stupid.
