Even if she has a different type of anemia, there are a ton of different types and stages of each disease that cause anemia. While she may have had some sort of anemia, I highly doubt that she made it on the show with something so bad that it actually pushed her out of the game.

Most likely, she just got annoyed by the rain and came up with reasons to rationalize an early departure. She lasted for 28 days and suddenly quit when she got wet and cold. She deserves all the ridicule she gets.
I think some of it was the falling out with Brenda and the mental toll that took on her. I think she fears rejection and would rather quit by her own choice. She's a strange cat. Obv, I have no idea what I'm talking about and am just speculating.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Aww, my favorite part about naonka (she doesn't even deserve a proper capitalization let alone a ****ing "O") was whenever confronted with strong logic as to why whatever she's doing is wrong or immoral or evil, it's always "I don't care what anybody thinks. I'm myself. I am naonka and I ain't gonna change." Which basically translates into my head as "Yes, I can confirm that I am delusional and in fact a horrible person."

I just found this thread and discovered Ponderosa clips where I never knew wtf they did after the show before. I'm excited to watch some of those but does anyone have a season they can recommend for me? I've just started watching this show a couple months ago and have gone through Tocantins, Palau, Cook Islands, China, Samoa, and recently finished HvV. I was thinking about Micronesia but after watching HvV they basically spoiled how that one ended up. Any suggestions?

I suggest watching it anyway.

It really is that much better than normal seasons? I'm going to be so spoiled off of all-star seasons now.

Micronesia is half All-stars so there's that, but yeah its still gonna be worth watching for you.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Micronesia is arguably the best season; it's as strategic as HvV, but more entertaining otherwise. If you like Jonathan and Ozzy go back and watch Cook Islands, there are a lot of filler characters but the rest are all pretty good.

If you quit, no one kicked you out. You're still in charge. A "strong black woman" doesn't let anyone control them. It was obviously a power move.

Micronesia is great. Very little ABC strategy, theres some good and a lot of lol-bad play. Plus you can't miss out on Chet in all his glory

Listening to the Noanka-Kelly interview they may be two of the dumbest Survivors ever which is saying a lot. Not surprised it was only 15 minutes after it was over. Robs quitting joke getting no response was hilarious. I don't know how they can complain about their edits being as dumb as they are and quitters.

I got a good chuckle at Kelly saying she didn't like her CBS edit and they could have picked some times of her saying something better. I've watched her secret scenes. All the way through unfortunately. No. They couldn't have picked anything better.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

I was wondering why PK was so invisible all season (given that there was no Russel type figure dominating the screen time)

Her quitting and secret scenes explains this

Unfortunately the edit crew couldn't make Naonka invisible also, as she provided too much material and was integral in critical scenes

Noanka's wearing of a straight up bra as a swimsuit top was just annoying. That's pretty much what I have to say about her. Plus, I think it was at her lead that Alina started wearing socks, which completely eliminated any possibility of her being attractive. Come on Alina, did you ever see Pavarti walking around with hideous socks on? Jesus, this cast is horrible.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

TCs with an odd number of players are the best times for any sort of realignment of alliances e.g. only one person in a 5-4 majority needs to flip in order to overthrow that majority, whereas two people in a 6-4 majority need to flip. F7 is the most important because it's generally the last time for any major realignment to happen (it *can* happen at F5 but it rarely does, for various reasons).

This, and in most cases, F7 dictates what will happen at F5 (which is not true of F9 to F7). Also, I'm too lazy to look it up, but I remember posting the statistic last year. Some ridiculous percentage (like 90-95%) of Survivor winners were on the majority's side of the vote at F7. It's pretty easy to come from behind earlier in the game, but going from a minority to a majority inside of F7 is extremely difficult, presumably because 1) there are so few people left, and 2) at F7, people are focusing on the endgame enough to make their "endgame decision" of what alliance they want to stick with, who they want to take to the finals, etc.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

i'd be interested in seeing that statistic for every number. at 16, 15, 14... all the way to 4 or 3 or whatever. it'd be interesting if F7 is indeed where the % jumps sharply.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Well, you can't really do it before the merge because there are two groups in control at that point, so I don't think it'd be very accurate. If someone is much less lazy than me, though, it would be very interesting to see the results. I suspect F7 is the point where it jumps significantly, and it probably levels off inside F6.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

I found the link here. It was 15 of 16 before Samoa, so it's now 16 of the 18 winners have voted for the actual bootee at F7. The only two to not do it were Bob from Gabon and Sandra from HvsV, two semi-controversial winners.

The second ep of Micronesia was pretty awesome. Pretty awesome strategy by the fans to blindside someone and break up an alliance at their first tribal council. LOL

At least all Survivor fan chicks have huge tatties.

This tops the list as the most funny 'this cast is horrible' post this season. Surely even Boc found it humorous.

NaOnka says that her behavior hasn’t affected her work with kids, except that people have been stalking her at work. “It sure has not. Actually, I’ve been getting requests to do more schools,” she told Fancast. “I thought it was going to hit me really hard. The only thing that was weird was that somehow my place of work hit the Internet. The location, the address, everything. So, I started getting a lot of hate mail at my job. They started emailing my boss. People were actually coming to my job. It was crazy. I needed security to start walking me to my car. I think people need to understand that this is a game, this is not real life. The way we play this game has nothing to do with our lives, we were trying to survive in Nicaragua.”
lol.

Where can I watch old seasons of Survivor? This is the first ever season I've watched and I'm really liking it.
