I haven't watched Ponderosa yet. But just think about this: Before Alina was voted out, she was told by Fabio that essentially no one liked/trusted her enough to play with her. She was fighting really hard to stay in the game...offering her vote up for the use of anybody who was willing to latch on to her. The people in power at the time were like, no way. I'm sitting here in my comfortable position with my teammates who I chose because they are weak minded individuals. To the jury house with you, Alina. Fast forward to last night. How do you think Alina feels?

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Nay is easily the biggest piece of trash to ever appear on this show. I guess they thought she'd be entertaining. Unfortunately she turned into just a worthless piece of ****. I put her below iKelly because at least she seems to have an ounce of dignity and didn't look for spots to screw people. It stuns me that someone that ignorant has actually managed to not get killed by somebody. I know somebody else already mentioned it, but WTF at "I come from a long line of strong black women" as you are QUITTING THE GAME. And it's not necessarily about race at all, there are all kinds of people that come on the show and spout off in confessionals about their lineage and saying that they are "strong", but they go out and at least TRY to prove it. To KNOW you are quitting the game THAT DAY and still go on a reward of basically nothing you can't do at Ponderosa is just insanity and borderline psychopathic.

Also why are people hating on Holly? Since the shoe drowning she's impressed me a great deal. Even if doing it for game purposes it is not so easy to just give up your spot on a reward of food for a tarp and rice. She also tried to talk iKelly back into the game while others were saying (in confessionals at least) that you can GTFO.

I'm in agreement with others that they really need to adopt a rule stating that if you take yourself out of the game you forfeit money and you don't get to be on the jury. Now Nay gets 20k and gets to decide on who wins the game, and her jury question should be hilariously stupid and 100% guaranteed to be bitter.

It's gotta be really painful to sit on the jury and watch two people just give up when you wanted so desperately to stay, and one of those people was directly involved in booting you out. And to quit in such a ridiculous way, "Oh I'm cold, **** all y'all hatazzzzzzz". I wish Probst was meaner than he was TBH.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Ratings on who "deserves" to win. Basing this on strategy and a little bit on how liked they are by the jury.

1. Sash - Has played a very solid strategic game though the only time there was a counter to his alliance it worked. Somehow is back in the swing vote position so he's obviously been doing a lot of behind the scenes work(building relationships).

2. Holly - What a turnaround. She went from over the top paranoid to the leader of the tribe. It seems shes got a good relationship with everyone(even Dan) left and could make a very good case as the puppet master at the final tribal.

3. Jane - Besides her feud with Marty she's played an extremely good game. She knows when to jump ship and was even willing to cut ties with Chase last week if he chose to go down with Brenda. However, the jury might be influenced by Marty and Brenda which would be a very bad thing for Jane.

4. Fabio - He's played the utr strategy to perfection. Stay happy, make people laugh, don't complain, and go along with just about any plan that puts you in a better spot without pissing anyone off. He's so damn likable that even a jury full of strategists might give him the million over Jane or Holly.

5. Chase - He's got friends on the jury and an idol. If he plays the idol at the right time his stock will rise a ton. He hasn't done anything to make the jury pick him over Jane or Holly(the 2 most likely to be with him if he's in the finals) so he's a long shot to win.

6 and 7. Dan and Benry - Neither of these guys have done anything to win. Benry doesn't seemed to be well liked. Dan has been more worthless than that stump on the beach. I think if either guy won they would've definitely been edited differently. As it is, I can't find a combo of a 3 person final where either of these guys win.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

My favorites (i.e. people I would vote for NOT necessarily who I expect to win). Even though many in this thread hate it, I would vote based on who I like as well as who played the best, heavily weighted on the former.

1. Fabio. Not much game play from him but how can you not like him?

2. Jane. I don't get all the Jane hatred. I know she is old and her laugh puts me on tilt, but she seems to be playing a solid game (relative to who she is playing against). I like that she took the fish and ate it herself.

3. Sash. Would be at the top except for him making a pact with almost everyone in the game to go to final 2. That kind of stuff usually backfires.

4. Dan. Props for toughing it out on his bad knees.

5. Holly. I didn't mind her dumping the shoes in the ocean, but when she came back and confessed she lost a lot of points from me. Coming on strong lately though.

6. Chase. Only ranked this high because Benry is still in it.

7. Benry. Major douchebag.

I'm a Fabio fan as well.

LOL @ the earlier Nay/Russell comparisons. One is just a bit more strategic than the other and would never quit because it rained one night.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Im upset that once again CBS picked a younger black women who fits almost every stereotype. Nay0nka (typed with a zero) was a bully, stole, lied, and wasn't loyal at all. I hope we never see her after this season again.

Purple Kelly is still hot from Ponderosa clips IMO, but she could of been a huge flirt with pretty much any guy on the Younger Tribe. She wasn't. She was completely useless with this season. She is someone who could be a threat to win if she would of turned some charm up.

So I think neither should get the game prize money, just the 10k for the reunion. Either way as much as you liked to look at Purple Kelly its better for the game she quit. As for Nay0nka it is better for future games she quit. If she ever gets on another show thats criminal to Johnny Fairplay.

I'm probably the biggest fan of "take the goats to the end" ITT, but I wouldn't take NaOnka. She's just too much of a wildcard, and she would flip on you at any moment for any reason. She's completely irrational and insane. I mean, you can't just automatically take her to the end...you have to play the entire game with her to do that. I'd much rather take Dan, who will be loyal to the end and not really give a crap about winning.

Plus, this leaves Sash wedged in between two three-person alliances, and F7 is the most crucial vote in the game, so being a swing vote there is HUGE. Sash has one of the easiest roads to the FTC that I can ever remember.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

if those payouts are correct and Nay gets the $30,000 ($10k for reunion) she almost certainly would appear on another All Star season. So with money thrown away this season and future appearances, she pretty much threw away at least $60,000 and maybe the 20k from this season.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

lol this episode, lol this entire season, lol women

It's frustrating enough as a viewer to watch these pathetic people quit, I can't imagine how angry Marty, Brenda or Alina must have felt watching that go down. They either need to stop bringing these jokers on the show in the first place, or revoke any jury contribution and payouts for the quitter, if they don't ban quitting altogether. Part of the blame has to go on CBS for casting these idiots.

At the Holly-Kelly beach pep talk, I thought it was actually going to be enough to keep Kelly in the game, especially with the whole "my daughters were STATE CHAMPIONS ZOMG!!!" potential foreshadowing. But good god why do they bring these people on the show. Most 20 year old girls have the attention span of a peanut and I think if Kelly really meant she had been thinking about quitting since day 1 or whatever, she would have done it earlier, but NaOnka also wanting out pushed her towards it completely.

I'm all for Probst laying the smack down and I really wish he went out of his way more to humiliate them. Now of course the reunion show is going to dedicate like 50%+ of it to these two ****** quitters.

This season can only be redeemed by a Fabio or Benry victory. F U BENRY HATERS

I have questions for the crowd. I don't rewatch episodes, look at secret scenes or poderosa videos, or read anything other than this forum. So I may have missed something, or I'm just not that observant.

What exactly has Sash done to make everyone think he is so strategic? Formed an alliance early and convinced Marty to give up a HII. Anything else because that doesn't seem like much?

Why do we think Dan is in an alliance with Fabio and Benry? Fabio and Benry are together for sure but Dan seems to be just floating.

Or let Marty, Alina, and Brenda piss on them. Love seeing Probst so mad, but I have to ask where was the rage when Jimmy Johnson basically quit?

Also agree in principle that he should have excluded them from th jury, only problem being that might slant the game result.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Benry would be a far easier opponent for Sash than Fabio, who would hoover up spite votes. Who would be enthusiastic about voting for Benry (other than us obv.)?

NaOnka and Kelly can DIAF as far as I'm concerned. If I were on this season I would be angry that two quitters are going to be on the jury having a lot of influence over who wins a million dollars. Also FU NaOnka for giving Chase the idol.

Didace: Sash formed an alliance, but he managed to ensure that it contained the other potential power player on his tribe and two easily manipulated goats. Also, the alliance was large enough that even if NaOnka did flip out and starting being a tard it would retain numbers. He managed to get the idol from Marty (something few would be able to do I imagine) and win his loyalty in the process, and everyone seems to get on well with him.

I think it's how Sash acts that gives that feeling. He seems fairly methodical and appears to think things through and is aware of what is going on around him. That plus he seems to be a good speaker.

Since the merge, haven't those three kind of "hung out" together? Wasn't there a scene where they were cracking a joke at others when lying around in the shelter? They're kind of the castoffs from the main conflict when Brenda was around.

With an older contestant though, you can assume they've rationally thought it through and aren't just thinking "it's cold right now, I'm freezing and can't take it anymore, it'll never be over." I mean I don't expect any contestant under 40 to ever quit the game without an injury. If Dan can handle the cold weather, NaOnka and Kelly can.

The real reason that Sash is viewed as so strategic is because he's ONLY ever shown in a strategic light.

Episode 1, when the editors begin to craft their characters, there is nothing strategic to be shown at La Flor. Sash is one of the few overlooked cast members in this episode, getting only a 5 second, fluff confessional about the beaches and girls being beautiful.

The zipline reward...It's easy to watch that and forget that Sash is there. The editors show us a bunch of Marty, Dan, Fabio, and Benry. They all talk about how much fun the ziplining was. Marty and Dan reflect about the time they've had thus far on the island. Sash gets no more than 2 seconds of facetime while ziplining and no voiceover. During the food portion of the reward he jumps right into his game relationship with Brenda, and then gets a voiceover talking about how he and Brenda are the smartest people left in the game and they'll eventually decide who goes home.

Sash doesn't get any of those silly "character development" scenes that people ITT find so boring, and is never shown to be doing anything other than 100% PLAYING THE GAME OF SURVIVOR (!!!). He's the closest thing we have to a Russell Hantz Gamebot this season, so the gamebot fans are clinging to him as the only remaining "deserving winner".

RAWR, we hate quitters and are better than them in every way! We would never quit anything, ever! We've been in similar situations and stuck it out! Every last one of us knows what it's like to have anemia! We perfectly understand the physical and mental toll of 30 days in brutal conditions eating 200 calories a day, and can state UNEQUIVOCALLY that we wouldn't have any serious trouble with it!

RAWR, if you quit something you shouldn't get paid for ANY of it!

RAWR, we should be the ones casting this show because we'd be able to discern who is a scumbag QUITTER and who isn't! LOL @ CBS for having 1-2 people quit every few seasons!
