Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
um, the editors didn't show Brett at all. That's not the same as "being a follower" or "not playing the game". Trying to make definitive statements on Brett's gameplay is lolworthy.

Or anyone that season, really. They were too busy filling up time with Russell patting himself on the back in confessionals to showcase anyone else. Russell IS great TV, but it was almost like not watching Survivor for 2 seasons.

That's definitive? Gotcha. But regardless, Brett gets a free pass from you just because of how things played out? Wouldn't a more leader-centric/smart/charismatic player step in before booting Erik, calm his alliance down, and be able to convince them to boot a Foa instead? The answer is yes, though I'm sure you'll disagree for some reason.

Grunching, but John was also the most vocal person saying that all of Galu should vote for Russell during the key vote after Russell found the idol again. It was Monica of all people who suggested voting someone else off, but John said there was "no way" Russell had an idol. For being a rocket scientist, John played Survivor incredibly stupidly.

Survivor to unveil the Medallion of Power.

How have we not been discussing this so far?

The MEDALLION of POWER!
Can't wait for a team to use it and then just get totally owned anyways, and then they all freak on whoever pushed to use it.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua
Medallion sounds like a good twist; I assume they have to use it before they know what the challenge is (since it wouldn't be that risky to use otherwise)?
Also, fu Piotrek for making me think I was about to watch real Assistant Coach awesomeness instead of an admittedly classic Tyson moment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aoUN3JeTDlg#t=04m48s is where the money's at.

Dave was the guy who made the "no way" comment; John actually said, "He [Russell] found the freakin' idol without a freakin' clue. That's what makes me nervous."

I hope you're able to pick the opponent's participants if you use it.
Would cull some of that dead wood QUICK early game imo.

The assistant coach stretching with Coach and that fire challenge FAIL screencap sequence just made my day.
