I can't even finish reading your post without responding to this^. Why would Fabio and Benry be content to stay low men on the Old La Flor totem pole following the tribe switch? The way in which they played post tribe switch ensured they remerged back into an unfavorable position. They're not stupid? Are you sure?

I'll give a less incredulous and bitchy answer after I finish reading your post...maybe.

lol, fine. They are stupid, but they are at least aware that it's men vs. women even if they think that Brenda and Sash are with them.

Bitchiness is to be encouraged imo, with incredulous .gifs the preferred method.

This season is awesome. Haters gonna hate though.

If Brenda and Sash make voting for Kelly/Holly their price for siding with the men, the men have little choice. Kelly being their ally since day one counts for nothing; what matters is whether or not she's closer to Holly/Jane/Chase than she is to Brenda/Sash. As I've said, if Brenda and Sash still feel that they can control Chase and Kelly, then discussion of strategy is irrelevant because either Brenda or Sash is a millionaire unless they screw up; however, if Kelly's and Chase's priorities have shifted, Brenda and Sash are playing for 5th-6th place. If Brenda and Sash feel that booting Holly or Jane will allow them to work better with both groups afterwards, they can certainly do that instead; indeed, they might be able to sell everybody on the Marty-Jane feud being cancerous to the tribe and eliminate Jane and Marty in that order.

The approach I'm suggesting has been tried before: either Burton or JFP would've won PI had they not ****ed up with the F5 reward, and Kenny and Crystal would've made the F3 together with Kenny almost certainly winning (if they vote out Matty at F7 they can eliminate Bob (or Corinne if he wins immunity) at F6, vote out Sugar at F5, then go into a F4 of Ken/Crystal/Susie/Corinne. Corinne leaves at F4 unless she wins immunity, and then Ken crushes the jury vote). It's definitely high-risk high-reward, but sometimes those sorts of plays are the most +EV plays.
Okay, why would Fabio or Benry care about voting off Kelly? I don't know. Fabio has been on the same tribe as Kelly the entire time. Maybe they have a good relationship and he thinks they are tight. He had SOME reason for thinking it would be okay to eliminate old people instead of attempting to allign with them following the tribe mix. Also, SOME players get all hung up on "I can't vote out Purple Kelly while Naonka is still in the game. That's just not right." Are Fabio and Benry these type of people? I don't know. I don't have enough information to say one way or the other if they would easily switch their vote from Jane to Kelly. But I would certainly entertain the possibility that they might not be in favor of getting rid of Kelly who they may have a relationship with when they would much rather target Jane or Naonka. And maybe (I say maybe, because I'm also not convince that Fabio and Benry are not stupid.) they realize that Sash and Brenda need to be thrown under the bus if they needlessly stick their head out targeting people they are supposedly alligned with and who appear to pose little immediate threat to anyone.

In this game, sometimes people do things which don't make much sense if they are trying to win. Sometimes it's because they don't care all that much. Maybe their priorities are 'have a good experience' or 'stay true to myself' or whatever it is that people value. Or sometimes it's because they don't have any idea where they and other people stand in the game. At Ponderosa, Marty said if he thought he was at risk at tribal, he could have leaned over and asked Sash for the idol and he would have given it to him. Now, did Marty know where he and others were at in the game? I don't think so. If Marty didn't know, then who else has no idea?

Dude, your judging the season a little too early. There is a big difference in quality down the homestretch and a Brenda/Sash/etc win is a lot different from a Dan/Holly/KP win

There are countless seasons with epic potential at the merge, only to disappoint or stagnate with a poor winner/crappy post-merge play (Gabon, Fiji, ASS, Australia, CI, *MARQUESAS*, etc)

I don't really know what you're hoping will happen. If Sash or Brenda don't win, it will almost certainly be because of a bitter jury, not because someone outsmarted them and got both out before the finals. I was all about a potential flip two weeks ago, but it's not going to happen now that Alina is gone and Benry shot himself in the foot. This thing is going to be very predictable the rest of the way, and Sash is going to run away with it.

Brenda is probably more likely to be blindsided than Sash, but yeah.

I mean, you can never be CERTAIN, but I don't know why would expect anything different. Do you really expect any of the bottom eight to lead a successful flip at this point? They all appear to be very passive, and they are dumb enough to let Sash and Brenda play the middle, too. I picture all of the bottom eight thinking to themselves, "I'll just keep sliding through every week" instead of "I'm going to make a move to gain control."

I don't know if the bottom 8 can lead anything, but I think it's possible that one of B/S thinks the other is getting too influencing. I think it'd happen at 9 rather than 10... but it's possible because both B and S have exhibited strategical flaws.

Brenda and Sash going after each other is inevitable, but that doesn't really matter, as one of them will be leading the winning side, and that person will probably coast into the finals and run away with the vote.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

I keep writing out posts responding to Kos's moronic string of posts, but I keep deleting them out of fear of getting infraction points/banned.

Whatever. I told myself I wouldn't let this thread put me on lifetilt anymore. But Kos's lovefest for Brenda/Sash/Marty/Jill (The people who have gotten the bulk of the strategic airtime) and hate for the rest of the cast is tough to take. Kos's favorites and least-favorites are so ****ing predictable. Love the gamebots, complain that the rest of the cast "ISN'T EVEN PLAYING THE GAME". Kool-Aid drinker to the max.

i dont think so. i think the final 3 could easily be sash, brenda and naonka. not what im rooting for but looks like the most likely result atm.

It's typical. People promote what they like and devalue what they don't like. You needn't take it personally. Another thing you'll notice is that people like Jill get credit for being 'strategic' when they kind of aren't. She made friends with Marty and was 'on his team' and got credit for being more gamey than I think she really was (based on some of her confessionals). Marty himself was going on about Jill and Dan being solid players. Either he respects different types of play or they are getting a lot of points for being on his team. I believe the latter. Likewise, if you oppose him, you lose points and must not be a good player.

People like what they like. It's okay. I think what you object to is the projection of "What I like is correct and smart, and what you like is wrong and stupid." Just keep in mind that just because Kos or I or anyone else says something doesn't make it true. Life is not a math equation. Survivor is not a math equation. People are subjective. Even the ones who think they aren't.

edit: also, given the tone of some of your own posts, if I'm correct about the bolded...ironic.

Re: Survivor: Nicaragua

Soncy: Good points, you're right. It's just a stupid web forum, not worth getting so riled up over. People are gonna like who they're gonna like, and that's fine. Kos's posts just have this air of "I'd be the best Survivor player ever" as he's constantly berating people for not making BOLD AGGRESSIVE SURVIVOR PLAYS to "take control of the game". Even though season after season, the people who make the bold aggressive plays DON'T WIN.

vyk, Dye: I don't really understand either of your gifs, but they're both cool. I get the feeling Dye's is a little on the sarcastic side. If so, **** you Dye

If we play can we vote out Kos and Kartiken as the two first people out and then just end the game, that way for the rest of these threads we can just go around saying they suck at survivor and know nothing?

Also in before Fabio wins it all
