I don't know how old you are or if you play poker, but being a young online pro, one of the last guys I'd want "representing" me is an old, douchy live pro who sucks at poker. I'm rooting for them to cast someone like CTS or Ansky.

it's a problem of visibility and name recognition

i think the survivor discussion forum would be revived if someone like durrr was on during one of the next few seasons

the drop from Samoa to Nicaragua is alarming, to say the least

You don't want someone recognizable. Do you think anyone is going to hand Johnny Chan or Tom Dwan a million bucks? I sure don't. Plus, I think you're vastly overrating how many viewers a poker player would draw. Most of the country doesn't give a **** about Johnny Chan.

i dont think 20 random survivor players are going to recognize tom dwan. i may be wrong though.

It only takes one. Maybe I'm off, but I would think at least 1/19 people (most of whom are under 35) would recognize him.

kos, im a big fan of the new avatar, how did you crop it so it would be under 250KB?

I cropped it and resized it to 80x80 and could only get it down to 375KB

I just cropped out his giant head and shrunk it to 80x80, and the file was small enough to fit.

so ive been grinding the hell out of some survivor recently, just kinda hooked. since the start of this season i've watched HvV, FvF, Pearl Islands and China (obviously some of the stuff in HvV/FvF spoiled a lot of the other seasons results for me, whadda ya gonna do). how are my choices so far? what should i be shooting for next? thinking either amazon, cook islands, borneo or samoa. advantage to amazon or cook islands is that i don't know the winner.

yeah watch amazon. its a solid one. a lot of us here listen to a podcast of a contestant on it.

2 or 3 years ago I went to a casting call at a local mall. The casting calls are nothing more than a local CBS affiliate setting up shop and helping locals send in videos/applications.

I waited in line for a few hours, filled out my application, and realized in line all the reasons why I'd never get selected (Including my response to "What previous contestant are you most similar to?" being Ryan Shoulders). It was looking like there might not be time for me to even make it to the front of the line, so I decided to bail so I could meet Rupert, who was also at the mall that day.

Never got the film developed of my picture with Rupert, but I still have it. Maybe one of these days I'll get it processed so I can relive that glorious afternoon.
