yea, meant to comment that it seems like they included a way higher percentage of the negative aspects of jane then they did the positive one's. I mean, if she's worse then she came off, how could they possibly be worried about her winning?

That's not at all unique to the game of Survivor. It seemed as though her bitterness came from being lied to, which is typically not something people, especially those who think they are full of integrity are fond of.

Her saying that to Marty is just another strategy to make the end, albeit one that missed the mark.

Who likes her besides Chase and Holly?
Aside from Fabio and maybe Holly was anybody out there liked by more then two or three people by the end/this point. I can't think of anyone.

This is also not unique to this season. In several seasons, everyone hated everyone by now.

I think the original sentiment was referring to the viewers though.

Watched Ponderosa Clips. I would love to be Benry there. Alina, Brenda, and Kelly are all good looking.

Marty and Brenda going out early were the death of this season imo.

Go Fabio I guess, or Judd the Studd if you'd like.

We are not a representative sample of the population in general. I like to give the population in general a little more credit than Kos, but that might be misplaced on my part. The gen-pop is capable of voting for Russell AND Rupert for fan favorite which seems somewhat contradictory to me.

ummm, I should just assume you're joking but the gen-pop is made up of lots of different people. I mean ~50% of voting Americans vote democrat and the other ~50% vote replublican and their edited versions seem really, really opposing, too.

How could Jane's edit possibly be bad? A good/bad edit doesn't mean the editors completely reversed their personality and made them the opposite of what they actually are, it just means they magnify (or hide) certain aspects of their personality. You're telling me Rupert, who is an extremely nice guy, didn't get a positive edit? He's a bumbling idiot, but they made him look like a hero. Coach was all about honor and integrity, yet the audience despised him so much that he was a Villain in HvsV (despite never doing anything even remotely villainous). Of course, we all loved him, which is why the consensus loved/hated players here are different than that of the average fan.

FWIW, Stephen just tweeted this: "Who will win Survivor fan favorite? Fabio or Jane?" Why don't you guys ask him if he thinks Jane is getting a positive edit?

Jane's edit could be bad if they showed a really high portion of her negative aspects and a lower portion of her positive aspects.

It seems the point you're missing is that we don't know. Most of the people arguing with you don't like Jane and agree that she still has a great chance at fan favorite. One can't make a judgement on the nature of her edit without seeing uncut footage. Maybe, despite her flaws, Jane is just the sort of person fans favor.

I think what turns my Everywoman off about Coach is his grandiose projection of himself. The crazy stories he tells. And I think he WAS mean to...Sierra, maybe? on his first season. I think he grew on her a little bit the second time around. I just think a lot of people may get hung up on his inflated sense of self, and miss his clueless...innocence/harmlessness...not sure on the right word.

I know that there has been a lot of hate on this season to the point that the hate directed at the haters is actually becoming stale, but man, it's really frustrating.

The fact that Sash didn't give his idol to Holly to cover his bases is just infuriating. Jeff absolutely shouldn't have said as much as he did at tribal, but considering he did and knowing how dense the other 3 are, they certainly wouldn't have taken it to the next level by throwing the votes at Sash in anticipation that he would've given it to Holly. So there was, like, a 1% chance of him giving the idol up actually backfiring, and maybe a 30% chance that it would save him had Jane, Fabio, and Dan actually decided to vote for her.

As I understand it, if there is a tie and then a tie on the re-vote, EVERYONE except for the 2 people who were involved in the tie are candidates to go home, regardless of a won or played immunity idol.

The frustrating thing about this season is that we as an audience want people to root for. We root for certain contestants based on various things. The things that will get me to root for a player are: great at strategy, great at social dynamics, entertainment value, and likability (Rob C. perhaps being closest to the whole package considering he also had that lovable loser angle that probably some of us on this forum can relate to all to well) and at the end of the day, this season majorly lacks in those characters.

Yes, as far as entertainment value, this season had those characters in spades, and thank god! It's one of the few redeeming qualities of this season. So the entertainment value is very high. But the majority of them were not likable, and the VAST majority of them were terrible at strategy. Even the ones who showed us a great deal of promise with strategy ended up being busts by making majorly boneheaded or clueless moves (Sash, Marty, Brenda). In the first couple episodes, Kelly B and Alina looked to be two smart and hot chicks and they just fell by the way side too easily. And NaOnka, well, geez, that woman is a cancer upon the human race (and apparently this opinion outs me as a racist and misogynist)

Chase, a very likable guy, keeps raising the bar of incredible stupidity every episode. I have actually come to really like Holly, but I am still finding it difficult to forgive her for her ridiculousness at the beginning of the season. I am officially rooting for Fabio to win because he seems like such a genuinely nice dude, but it still pains me because of how strategically inept he has been all season.

F this season. And to respond already to the haters who will ask why I'm still watching, it's because it is still a great show and one of the most entertaining on tv. That doesn't invalidate my opinion or make me a hypocrite.

I agree. It goes back to that saying: Better to remain silent and be percieved a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Less is more for Invisible Kelly.

probst plan was good, but leaves dan vulnerable. if they follow through with it.

chase/sash/holly vote jane
jud/dan/jane vote holly

tie. revote. jane/holly can't vote.

chase/sash vote jane
jane votes holly.

if dan votes holly he is the only one picking a purple rock, since everyone else is immune.

unless they do the fire building competition (and i assume they know the rules), in which case then jud/dan/jane are complete idiots...not that they aren't already idiots.

I can't imagine there would be purple rock with only one person drawing.

While I agree Coach shouldn't have been in the villain's tribe it's fairly obvious, imo, why he was. He came off as a pathological liar and extremely out of touch with reality. He seemed to have good intentions, though.

good post up there Double Down.
