1. Brenda - I had to demote Sash because of his slip at TC. I believe Brenda still has good ties with Sash, Jane, Chase, and Naonka. As well as her group having some key minions.

2. Sash - Lost some ground this episode, but still in the tightest alliance at the moment and now has an idol for good or ill.

3. Jane - She is the non-threat who I think is most likely to win. She's in with Amanda and Todd at the moment--not a bad place to be, but may have the sense to play her own game down the line if she sees an opportunity.

4. Chase - I don't like his chances.

5. Benry - I don't like his chances.

And this is why the power rankings are a good idea, as I would probably have Jane in my bottom three. She seems dumb, emotional, passive, and sitting-duck-ish to me, but I would have said the same thing about a guy like Bob. So yeah, some of us may be projecting with Benry, but it evens out pretty well in the overall rankings since everyone has different views on different players.

I like your thoughts, and position on Jane, and you could insert Dan into that role too if Jane gets kicked out early. The whole eating fish alone thing is really really weird to me for why they decided to include this if nothing is going to come out of it down the road. How can people not smell it, or see the flames? They really limit where you can go in Survivor compared to how you use to could just venture out.

This is car crash television. It's fantastic, and I'll definitely enjoy rewatching this season, but dear God. Like, everything that everybody did this episode was ******ed. EVERYTHING. WTF is wrong with these people? And why are random red lines appearing underneath my words this isn't Microsoft Word asdsjhfkjdshgkjhgkjhfdk

Long rant to come later.

Would be epic TC's
This would be awesome.

I keep thinking everyone is dumber than normal, but looking back, they're pretty comparable to the other seasons. Fincher was the second smartest person in Samoa, and he pussed out on a re-vote. Tocantins was mostly dummies. Gabon was an abortion. Todd and Peih-Gee were the only smart people in China. I think we've just been spoiled with FvsF and HvsV.

You can pretty much judge a season by how re-watchable it is. I can re-watch HvsV multiple times and I will still be entertained

Nicaragua... not so much (unless something drastically changes). Maybe dumbass Fabio or that bag of douche, Benry, pulls through somehow

god forbid a Brenda/Naonka/Sash/Chase/KellyPurple F5

I predict more of this to come at the merge...

Rooting rankings:

1. Marty
2. Alina
3-4. Benry/Sash (roughly equal, too hard to tell this early)
5. Brenda (I guess?)

Everyone else is either boring and/or a horrible player, so I don't think I could root for them.

OH YOU GOTTA GIVE FABIO SOME LOVE

no way is he not an entertaining/lovable (yet dumb) character

we have to do something to bend your stubborn ways kos

Fabio isn't boring, but I would be disappointed if he (somehow) won. I hope he goes deep, though.

go to Pooter's 4L thread imo

I still like Marty the most (after Fabio obv.) but he's been ****ing up massively these past few weeks. As odd as it sounds I actually think Holly is playing well right now, but next week is bound to be a cluster**** of epic proportions so any predictions I might make could easily get blown away.

Power Rankings:

1. Brenda - as much as it pains me to say it, she can control the game. From what we've seen, she's not a good liar. Could be her downfall in the end, making her moves too predictable.

2. NaOnka - has appeared to make friends with everyone but Alina, Marty, Jane, and Fabio. By this, I mean she seems to be in tight most of the people from her presumed main alliance and some people from the smaller alliance.

2. Chase - he more than Benry seems like the kind of person that could orchestrate a blindside. If he thought Alina was playing hard, what will he think of Sash and Brenda's recent actions?

4. Jane - Flying UTR and could play the Cirie role of the swing vote. As with Brenda, doesn't seem to be a good liar (someone needs to summon Will from BB2 to teach a course on lying), which could also harm her... but she's less likely to be confronted.

5. Sash - needs to be smart and let Brenda call the shots. Will be interesting to see if he holds true on his promise to Marty, though the terms of the agreement won't hold with the impending merge.

knowing purple kelly gets no love on the show, i hope she's voted out first post merge so she goes straight to ponderosa. i'll take those 5 minutes each week for damn sure. and if i were on the show, i'd quit the game as soon as purple kelly got booted out on the off chance she'd let me have sex with her.

Chase not getting enough love itt, it's hard because i can't find anyone i think is playing well, but i see no reason he can't win, since he will probably beast II and he's got a lot of allies and everyone likes him.

I'm pulling for Benry/Alina for sure, but i think Naonka and Chase are in the driver's seat. Problem with Na is she won't get a single vote except from PK, Sash, Chase and Bren and no way she gets to f3 with all them in the jury. Sash/Bren have FPS and are just going to continue to do stupid **** i think.

Does it really make you feel smart to point out somebody got a facial expression shown so it's likely they're going home? If you want to fish through all of the editing and study it that's fine, but don't ruin it for people that don't pay attention to editing.

It's really annoying me for some reason.
lol, ok dude, you want to watch the show as a "lowest common denominator" fan who wants to take everything you see at total face value and buy into all the editing tricks. Some people don't.

What you see on TV is a bunch of heavily-manipulated footage. If you expect intelligent viewers to not discuss on this forum how things are being manipulated, I don't know what to tell you. You can always go read the CBS forums, I'm pretty sure there's no detailed analysis of the editing going on there.

Tocantins had arguably the strongest final 3 of all time, and had other strong players like Taj, Debbie, and Tyson. I think Tocantins was probably the non-allstar season with the strongest roster. Peih-Gee was a complete and utter moron. She devised the brilliant plan of throw just 1 challenge, which is basically the worst thing she could have done, in theory. It turned out to save her b/c James had the idols but she could not have known this when she called off the challenge throwing. She also played one of the worst social games ever and never seemed to have any clue what the true power dynamics were. Just a terrible player.

I don't know why I am struggling to finally get around to watching China. I am probably spoiled by the HD availability of the past 3 seasons and am reluctant to watch the mediocre quality of China on youtube, eh

So far, I agree. As much as I hated NaOnka in the beginning, I am thanking my lucky stars she is there now.

It's just not fun or interesting to focus on the edits, and most of the edit conjecture is just wrong anyway. You aren't as bad with this as some, but most people who try to figure out things from gaming the editors just wind up looking foolish and detract from the actual discourse.
