Ever consider that it's possible Marty had 2 idols? They might have thought it is a possibility, so they still split the vote. It doesn't really make a difference in the end.

What Marty should of did was said "Listen, if I give you the Idol you guys send Jane home tonight otherwise I'm playing it myself" in order to hopefully save Jill even though they could lie to him and still send her home or even turn around and vote him out.

Otherwise I would of just used the Idol tonight if I was him because the outcome would be the same and since it flushes it out Marty has the opportunity to find it again not telling these people this time around that he has it.

wtf are you talking about

excess exposure, screen time, and confessionals always traditionally accompany the survivor(s) that are possibly getting the boot

the fact that she had no confessionals and no screen time this episode and still got booted is a very rare occurence

Does it really make you feel smart to point out somebody got a facial expression shown so it's likely they're going home? If you want to fish through all of the editing and study it that's fine, but don't ruin it for people that don't pay attention to editing.

It's really annoying me for some reason.

Sure

Suppose Fabio (or whoever in the majority) is a double agent and they are 1 of the 3 split majority votes on Jill. He can switch his vote to Jane or whoever the now idol-less Marty/Jill throw 2 votes on (Brenda, etc) and vote the person of their choice out 3-2-2.

By combining votes on Jill, knowing that the only idol in play is in the majority's hands is a safe play. They also know that Naonka has the 2nd idol and also know that there can't be more than 2 in play at any given time

Satisfied?

In order for flipping to hurt them, it would have to come from the group who has 3 members voting rather than the group with 2. This is why they had the tightest 3 vote for Jill (Sash, Brenda, Kelly) and let the 2 more likely to flip (Jane and Fabio) vote for Marty.
