There's no way they keep the tribes matched like this till the merge though, how many episodes did it take for them to mix it up when they were divided by race? I don't know if marty anticipated it, but imo that's why booting jj was smart. If he gets matched with some of the younger guys he would've been in a good spot, they seemed star struck.

Was voting of JJ really the best move? Seems like Dan can barely walk.

No reason to ban that guy, JJ played to get voted off asap and was. It was obvious from the first episode he was drawing dead to make the merge.

Did survivor hire some new people to do their challenges? For having only 1 an episode all 3 have sucked. Very simple, not remotely strenuous, and very carnival like. They shouldn't have sacrificed the challenges in order to level the old vs young playing field. They should've stacked some fatties on the young squad to give them level playing fields.

disagree. MArty is a tard whose alpha jealousy of JJ overrides his common sense. Jill is the best player on the old tribe imo.

For Marty probably so since it's obvious the girls minus Jill were all very much team Jimmy Johnson. Plus he's actually is a survivor thinker. He might not stab anyone in the back but he knows how to control and charm people.

For everyone else probably not since JJ would be one of the firsts to go post merge if they don't have numbers.

I don't think Marty is a tard, but I do think he is overplaying. Why he is trying to wake up others' social games, I have no idea.

I agree, Jill is definitely playing the best game on the older tribe, from what we've seen.

If there is a premerge swap, young group is in deep ****. Older tribe is way more likely not to have any defectors where the young tribe most likely will.

It's looking like Marty's game to lose. Which isn't saying much with this cast of bumbling idiots.

I also love 1 challenge per episode. I feel like we get an extra 10 minutes of Survivor each week now. I hope this becomes the standard.

CBS is strongly hinting that NaOnka plans to either burn/steal/bury Kelly B's leg while she is out for a dip in the ocean

I mean, is she legally allowed to pull that shyt?

I swear Brenda has her, Chase, and the rest of her lapdogs on a leash

No one is that psychotic that makes it through the screening process. This is a move that would make Russell cringe.

I've wondered what the possession rules around the hidden immunity idol are. When Marty hangs it up there on the tree, let's say somebody in the middle of the night grabs the idol and hides it. Do they own it or does Marty still own it?

She probably just runs her mouth about doing that. Chick is trashy.

Ever notice how they often edit out the aftermath when someone finds the idol early on when folks are still in the "team" mode.

First you have 10 people looking for the idol, and then they are all hudled around camp. They all didn't magically give up looking for no reason. The word must get around that XX found the idol, so we can all stop looking now.

I mean can you imagine how ticked people would be if you just went and took a nap for six hours while everyone esle was tromping through the bush on a hot, humid dau looking for an idol, and then you tell them you found it six hours ago and decided to have a nap. I'm sure that would be popular.

The editing is funny because it often just leaves the seach behind, but shows no dialogue about going out to look again. I just got thinking about this during the old team's meeting tonight when the guy announced he had the idol. If they all had stopped looking, how much of a surprise could it be that someone had it? And, if you knew soemoe had it, then you'd also have to know who had it, but knowing who called off the search.

I just think there are lots of times that the tribe knows who has it, but they want us viewers to think that this information is not known by the other members. Clearly there are times when nobody else knows, but I doubt this happens during those mass searches....

Kelly should throw her own leg in the fire and blame Naonka as a last gasp tactic.

i got the impression that he was nervous about JJ making it to a merge and the idea of the young people trying to bff JJ, and was probably threatened by that and how it could affect his game later on. i can see why that might be scary to have a famous person in the mix of things if you consider how star struck he noticed some of the people on his tribe were.

also, even with what you said about the reasons why marty should have kept him around, apply that to the younger tribes perspective (or anyone else) instead of marty, and why people would want to keep someone like JJ around, and marty being aware of that. it would be one thing if the two of them were in a tight alliance but they weren't. and didn't JJ say in the first episode he was disappointed w/ the old vs young because he was counting on being with younger people? i don't know, i don't think it was that stupid.

i thought it was kind of funny the way marty approached tyrone though, "so we good, you gonna do everything i want and stuff?" ... "lol no. i got other people."

You know Marty covered all his bases and spoke to Holly about voting out JJ. I would love to see that scene. Actually, the more Marty-Holly interaction, the better.
