jimmy johnson made no attempt to do anything about him getting voted off

could have easily swung tyrone, jane, yve, and holly for a majority voting block of 5

and then calling yourself weak at tribal

Jimmy J is an interesting pick, he was on the radar at their first TC, but likely won't be at their second TC. He is a guy that I think will either be an early boot or a final 5-6ish, when people turn on him because of this I opted for the more "reliable" JimmyT - but I was absolutely shocked and happy that JimmyJ fell to 18th and I was able to scoop him up as well.

Yeah, true.
Clearly I drastically underestimated how threatened Marty was by Jimmy J. If I was sure Marty wanted to get rid of Jimmy J ASAP even tho Dan was clearly the weaker team member, I wouldn't have made such a fuss about him going so late. If Marty wants you gone, you are probably going to be gone here in the early going.

wow at that preview. If she throws the leg in the fire she might become the most hated villain in reality tv history.

Shannon and Jimmy J are kind of polar opposites of what happens to you when you play straight forwardly and honestly. Lie, cheat, steal. If that doesn't work, accuse your competitors of same.

I think this is the reason celebrities will never work on Survivor. J.J. would have never thrown someone under the bus. He was all for one of his teammates winning the million but I honestly believe he didn't really care about winning himself. It's the same reason why all the celebrity poker shows are just terrible. Why would I watch some millionaire play a 10k Sit-n-go with some randoms? If you are a celebrity on a reality show and you know people are voting you out you could try and target someone else (like Dan) and have the risk of losing your reputation by being edited as a villain and a backstabber or do nothing at all, home you get lucky and if you don't go home having achieved your goal of being on the show.

Naynay is a quality human being. Can we lock her and BB Rachel in a cage?

Jill earned some points when she figured out the HII clue. Then promptly lost them when she insisted Marty find the idol instead of her. Then, she lost some more because she pushed for him to tell everyone he had it. If she had some good reason for it, like 'I gotta put a little social pressure on Marty since he has my idol,' I might have been okay with the move. But since her reasoning was, 'I really think Marty can garner some brownie points with the tribe by showing them his idol,' she lost points. Until something changes, I will henceforth refer to her as Marty's Pawn.

Marty lost a few points for allowing his pawn to force him to out his idol. Shows a lack of control of his pawn.

Tyrone both gained and lost points for not jumping right on Marty's bandwagon at first suggestion. Gained because you should always think for yourself. Lost because it's dangerous to let the power player know that you think for yourself. Should mostly insta-agree, then pose questions to gather information about who he is controlling, and try to see if there is any wiggle room to make an alternate move shoud you decide that's the right thing to do.

I hate to say it, but Jimmy T is growing on me. I'm sure he will flip out and machete someone (or himself in the game) in the future, but until then, I will enjoy his delusions of grandeur.

I think Marty is making a pretty big mistake here. You don't announce at Tribal Council "Hey guys, I'm a really strategic player and I want to start playing the game". If you're a strong man, just say "I want to keep the team strong" until you're forced to start playing the game strategically.

Marty is already in a great position, what he has to do is round up a close group of 5 to take to the merge.

JJ had so much fail this week. He knew he was going, made no moves to gather votes, and then called himself weak at tribal. He wanted to go. Judging by the votes shown, it had to be unanimous, with only his vote for Daniel. I think he told the others to vote him out and CBS edited it out.

Marty vs. Tyrone power struggle looking possible. You know Marty's gonna target Tyrone soon after the non-response on voting JJ.

Naonka def going for villain status and overplaying it big-time. So fake and idiotic. Can't stand every second of her that they show. Will def be great if neither she or Brenda can figure it out even with the simpler second set of clues.

My girl Kelly B looks like she needs some help. Obv known throughout the tribe that she was in with Shannon.

I feel the series took a minor step back this week - hope it's just a one-week quality fall-off. Need more young tribe at tribal.

i think jill just thought it would be better to tell the tribe before it got around. i think dan knew they had it? idk about that for sure.

Probably the best idea for Marty was to let JJ go. Helps him after the merge, makes him the power in the tribe with the idol. I am clueless as to why JJ didn't try to drum up support to vote Dan off. He could have gotten 4 people to believe him.

Best chance to win:
Marty
Yve
Jill
Tyrone
Jane
Dan
Holly

Really at a loss to describe the strategical underworkings of the other tribe. I do know that NaOnka has no shot at finding the idol. Kelly B could play the weak, no threat, NaOnka tries to control me card, but she's not in the stronger alliance.

Brenda
Jud
Kelly P
Sash
Kelly B
Benry
Chase
NaOnka
Alina
