Apologies if this has been posted, but if so I'm sure there are people who haven't seen it. Leaked copies of the player rules and contract:

http://www.realityblurred.com/realit...survivor_rules

The section about ties is especially interesting.

Interesting...noteworthy stuff I took from the doc:

* explicitly states a final 2
* can only eat certain foods designated by producers
* can only construct shelter from fallen trees or material provided by producer (can't cut anything...)
* Section B vi - suggests that HII don't belong to specific individuals, as they aren't given by the staff
* Jury members may be shown tape prior to the final tribal council for an informed decision

Of course, it is likely for an older season, and these rules are obviously not black and white, given stealing others belongings, hiding food and communicating with the other tribe has existed for many a seasons now (notably Pearl Islands).

I like how they blame Russell for breaking the "don't communicate with the other tribe" letter. I guess I missed the part where Russell initiated the discussion.

any idea what would happen in a FTT tie? It said the "Producer" gets to make the decision to what would happen. Obviously if there is a F2 there won't be a tie unless it is like FvF with 8 jury members, but a F3 can have a tie.

I wonder what everyone thinks would happen in a tie

I've thought they have been trying/hoping for a tie in FTC for a while. I think they have something spicy planned.

If it were a 3-3-1 split, pretty obvious to just make the 1 voter vote for either of the 3's.

If it were a 3-3-2 (and a revote left with 4-4) or a 3-3-3, I have no idea how they'd decide it.

From Survivor Sucks, about S22:
Quote:
I don't have much info to add to the mix, but I did hear something new. I understand that Rob and Russell each get to choose a person to "sponsor/mentor." Basically, they "bet" on this player. If the person Rob or Russell chooses ends up winning the game, they get a sizeable slice of money out of it.

Is there really 90 minutes worth of stuff to talk about with a new cast no one knows? I think Rob/Nicole might talk about S22 a little.

They didn't talk about S22; in fact, Rob pretty much said he will NOT be talking about it at all, which certainly makes me wonder if he was asked to return (and maybe had to decline because of his wedding?).

Just listened to it... I agree with you. Anyways Kos who is your pic to win or top 3 picks to win?

I avoided all spoilers this time, but I like Marty to win it all from videos and Rob's Podcast.

I think that The Old Guard alliance is a huge possibility and Marty will be the guy to flip and get himself deep. IDK if he can win a FTC3 but would win a FTC2.

I thought Rob C's podcast was even more insightful than usual; I agree with him that the winner is likely to be an older young guy or younger old guy. Marty seems like the best of a relatively poor bunch on his tribe, and I like Rob's other picks of Yve/Chase/Kelly B, but I think he's massively overrating Jimmy J's chances.

I will be surprised if Jimmy makes the merge.

It's hard to do it from the bios and a 90 second video. I mean, I thought Jaison was going to be an absolutely awesome player, but he was a dud. But hey, it's no fun if we don't make predictions, right?

I really think Marty has the potential to be an all-time great player, but this young/old twist is bad for him because he and Tyrone will be huge targets at the merge. I like Shannon because he seems like the most "street smart" of the young guys, and like Marty, he appears to have an evil side. Chase is a solid contender, too, and Sash could really go either way (though I still get the "my arrogance will cause my allies to blindside me" vibe from him). The amputee chick could be good, though the more ruthless players will probably target her before she can sneak into the F2/F3. I still like Shannon to win, though he'll probably go out on day six just to make me look stupid. However, if they abandon this young/old thing early on in the game, I think Marty becomes the big favorite to win.

I think that if S22 has a final 3 of Boston Rob/Russell/Random that Random will win no matter what. Survivor has a history of a bitter jury and unless the Random is like Russell was in S20, the random will win.

He thinks he's the best of all time, why would he ever adjust his game? Also I don't think he has any control of himself, so I can't imagine this happening.

i think hes had some time to see some of the episodes from his seasons. time to think and maybe some advice from friends and in my opinion he would reevaluate his game. you can think you are the best of all time and still be willing to adjust your game. 1 week till survivor premier, i am pretty excited. i just watched some preview videos.

I think the bigger albatross around their necks are that they've had multiple shots at it. This is why I hope it's a full on "all-star" season so there isn't the "well the random is here for the first time, Rob and Russell had their shot."

That being said it's hard to imagine a universe where Rob and Russell allow each other to get to the final 3. No matter how good a move it would be, I don't think either of their egos could handle it.

Edit: in a perfect world though, this season would have a final 2 so if they do take each other to the end we actually get to see who played better.

i think all the attention and analysis given to his 2nd straight loss would clue him in. although idk if he could execute another style as well as his mo so far

if he didn't change at least a bit i'd be saddened that survivor has got to the point where parts are loosely-scripted. honestly i like the randoms seasons more than the allstars, or at least with a decent ratio. 1:1 is too much of the same people iyam
