Nice av vyk, lol.

Isn't S22 meant to be happening soon? Does Rob/Russell have a twitter account? I wonder whether they'll go dormant...

Old vs. young is obv. gimmicky (have to get creative after 20 seasons) but I don't think the young people will have much of an advantage. For one, the producers are clearly aware that old people are typically hindrances to a tribe and so will take care to ensure that there are few Sandy/Mike B. types, and I imagine there'll be the standard dumb blondes who cba to contribute on the young tribe.
Welcome SavageTilt,

Looking forward to your insight on upcoming seasons

Since you are saying that you were only recently introduced to survivor, let me recommend you some great survivor seasons to get you started (some of my favorites)
-Survivor Borneo (where it all started)
-Survivor Pearl Islands
-Survivor Exile Island
-Survivor China

You can find all of these and more on youtube.com under stentilyzier's channel, here's the link

it's both awesome and amazing how many people continue to discover Survivor with each passing season. the show has been around ten years and still picking up new fans all the time

You work in their PR department?

To clarify I'm from the UK, so the only access to Survivor I had naturally was the embarrassingly low-rated and short-lived UK version.

Vyk07: Heh, I found a mention of stentilyzier's channel in one of the previous Survivor threads (got through the Tocantins and Samoa threads while watching those respective seasons, thought about finishing the HvV thread after the fact but decided it was TL;DR even for me), but thanks for the suggestion anyway; if somebody hadn't mentioned it elsewhere I'd have been driven to frustration being forced to watch it on Megavideo. I've seen Tocantins, Samoa, HvV, Micronesia, Vanuatu (thought it would be interesting to see a women's alliance taking over the game, turns out they were lolbad) and Borneo (obv. way behind all the others in production quality and general entertainment value, but still fun to see where it all started), and I'm currently watching Cook Islands (literally 'currently', I'm watching Yul working his magic with the delectable Parvati in the background as I type).

I've heard good things about Pearl Islands from others as well, so I'll definitely look into that one next. From what I gather Exile Island isn't as popular, but it's not as if I've watched a season yet that's been bad. My experience has been kind of tainted so far by the fact that I've known who wins each season so far, so it'll be interesting to go into a new season where I'll have to rely on my own predictions. Waiting for the next 6 weeks is going to be painful though ;/

^I liked Exile Island. You get to see the birth of the immunity idol (not technically, but that's "the beginning"), and Cirie is awesome.

I just started watching this show a month ago when someone recommended HvV to me, was really surprised how much I enjoyed it, and decided to go back and watch a bunch of the old ones and have now seen seasons 8-20 LOL... Really looking forward to the new season.

If we know that S22 leaves tomorrow or sometime very soon, aren't there any leaks about returning players besides a possible Boston Rob vs Russell. I wouldn't be in favor of this type of season, but I would wear a Red Sox hat if it was true.

yes there are, you can find the rumored returning players' names on this thread on survivorsucks.com (visit at your own risk)

the person providing the leaks was the one behind the accurate s19 and s20 bootlists and leaks provided (rumored to be russell's wife, a production assistant, or a past player)

i don't know if this thread is the right place to post some of the players speculated to return for s21, but there are several exciting names being circled around that were skipped over for S20 HvV

now that the s22 survivors fly out tomorrow, the sources have seemed to tightened up, as cbs is trying to keep everyone mum to maintain the excitement

Believe it Kos, it will be a ratings bonanza, as the casual fans are going to go nuts when they find out

Did you hear about who is coming back from Survivor Exile Island and Survivor Samoa (besides Russell that is) yet?

Just S22 cast speculation, not actual "spoilers", but just in case:

Spoiler:
One that seems pretty definite is Monica from S19. This possibly hints at Rob's team consisting of some of Russell's greatest foes and vice versa. I think Coach said something about going to Nicaragua for supposedly unrelated reasons. The Sucks poster said:

"Coach is filming a movie there and Hatch has some serious issues with a passport."

I don't know if that's meant to indicate that Coach is simply filming an unrelated movie, but hopefully he will be in it.

No, who? I guess it would depend on the theme of the season, but Terry really deserves another go, and I'm sure they'd ask Shambo to come back since they asked her to be on HvsV.

It seems like such a ******ed theme, though. Rob vs. Russell is a cool idea...until you realize that they'd probably both be out in the first nine days. Plus, Rob coming back a fourth time and Russell coming back for three tries in two years is a bit ridiculous.

the producers were thinking about having Rob and Russell be the captains of their respected tribes and as captains be immune from the vote until the merge (just a thought, nothing concrete)

or like someone said before have each pick their team

As the sands through the hour glass, these are the days of a dead and pathetic series, if the pandering to a Russel/Rob lovefest comes to fruition for another season.

In all seriousness, this moves the show closer to Temptation Island/I am celebrity, get me out of here. The back to back was a success, the cast they assembled was entertaining, but let the show evolve and let the new players themselves create the tension, not the soap stars.
