Same issue with the 20 something weaklings, many have such a huge ego yet can't back it up. Super fit Osten had no fortitude. There are many 40 somethings that could out work, out think, and out maneuver many cocky 20 somethings.

Let the biases begin I suppose.

I obviously stated my opinion with this in mind + after looking at the cast spoiler.

It's pretty much common sense they could put together an old tribe that rocks every challenge, if they wanted to. However, I'm pretty sure they (yet again) didn't do that.

only a little more than 6 weeks to go

by the way, they are shooting S22 in the middle of August until the end of September in Nicaragua, and don't take this as a fact but there are rumors swirling about a potential Rob vs Russel S22 theme (not concrete)

what do you guys think about that? potentially epic or overkill?

Yeah, I don't believe this for a second. I'm not sure where you heard this, but I'd bet the farm that it's not true.

That being said, it wouldn't totally shock me if Russell is out there again sometime in the next couple years. The rumor was that they were going to do some type of mini-ASS season every other year now that they're always shooting back-to-back seasons in the same location. I don't think they'd do a full cast of returning players, but they might bring back a handful per season and do another FvsF type of thing. If so, I don't think Russell would go back on S22, but it wouldn't surprise me if he's on S24.

Over under on pages of this thread before arguments start on Russell's game play? Surprised it made it three already.

How much is "the farm" and what odds would you lay against both Russell and Rob being in S22?

sounds like good wagering odds to me, your 100 for my 0?

all joking aside, S22 is confirmed to be something of a mini-allstar season (whether that means 2 familiar faces, a la Guatemala, or a full tribe of them, a la Fans vs Favorites)

btw, shooting of S22 starts in 2 weeks

why not?

s21 has finished filming and is in post-production until its premiere on september 15th, and cbs is not officially leaking anything like cast photos until at least the end of august/beginning of september

s22 is about to start filming in nicaragua and there is a lot of speculation on its format (which is heavily rumored to have at least some returning players). Speculation whether it will be a redemption season (bringing back a lot of former players who lost because of random twists, etc.), a rivalry season (think rob vs. russell, richard hatch vs sue, terry vs aras, all on different tribes, etc.), or if its a bunch of new faces once again; makes for an interesting discussion to pass the time between seasons.

Oh and they are not spoilers, its purely speculation, please distinguish between the two

So I was pretty much unaware of this show's existence until a month or two ago when somebody suggested I watch HvV. Since then I've been watching some of the most highly recommended seasons, and I'm loving it, looking forward to being able to participate in this thread.

Old vs. young is obv. gimmicky (have to get creative after 20 seasons) but I don't think the young people will have much of an advantage. For one, the producers are clearly aware that old people are typically hindrances to a tribe and so will take care to ensure that there are few Sandy/Mike B. types, and I imagine there'll be the standard dumb blondes who cba to contribute on the young tribe.
