I'm confused why Brad couldn't steal a vote. I get that he loses HIS vote, but he should be able to steal someone else's and vote with that...

Terrible episode. Every scene was focused on some sort of advantage of some kind. I guess I'll have to concede that the idols haven't been found yet and if they don't rehide the beware advantages Xander won't have his vote back. I still think the correct move was to boot Xander and to be honest I'd plan to throw if the other two phrases haven't been spoken. Brad was funny, unfortunate to lose him. JD may be the biggest dork to ever play Survivor. This may be the first season I dip out on.

It was kinda funny though how everyone was ragging on the women for not booting Tiffany and they won the challenge anyways.

Probably. It seemed like she was in such a good position socially that almost any boot was bad for her.

Bring back old school survivor. You know, where we got to see people actually surviving and building their game.

Excessive advantages have turned survivor from NLHE to roulette.

all these advantages and rules remind me of that friends ep where joey has to present a game show full of crazy rules and he tests it on chandler.

Can't see how keeping JD over Brad made any sense. Brad seemed like a perfect goat ally - he totally trusts you, you know everything he's holding, and he's with you to the end. JD already showed he's not trustworthy and made it clear that was part of his game when he said something like "when you have an advantage in survivor, you don't tell anyone".

She did a great job convincing him to hand it over, the next step was to boot him. Made no sense at all.

It kind of sucks how they're increasing production's role in the results of the show, instead of just letting the contestants shine and show off their individual personalities.

They had an opportunity for a fresh reset and to go back to Survivor's roots, but they decided to turn up the force-feeding of narratives to 11, and multiply the advantages by 42.

Whoever was in charge of that decision should be fired. They could have made way more of a splash by going back to the classic style of the show instead of this overcompensating BS.

Also, did anyone else notice when I think Tiffany found the advantage she said, "Hey guys, come here!". Lol... right, no one noticed, because no one cares... sigh

Exactly. JD was the clear elimination. I was so convinced the editing was just trying to fool us by making it look like Brad. Nope, that tribe is just fool of idiots. JD will probably make the merge and then be one of the first eliminations once everyone sees how he plays.

I think the thought process was related to the covid-driven abbreviated season - that they needed to force action given they only have 26? Days vs 39.

Totally agree that the result is it sucks though.
