Back to the actual game;

Terrible do or die twist this week so 33% chance someone gets Monty Hall problemed out of the game (if they pick rationally)

Can easily see a Jonathan gets taken out picking irrationally based on what we have seen from him so far
Forgot about the do or die. I really hope in Season 43 they learn from feedback on these two and get rid of 90% of this stuff.

You would imagine the following have to be a two and done job

-The silly phrase activated idols - everyone knows now what to look out for
-The hourglass - as its the worst twist of all time
-Do or die twist - as its the second worst twist of all time

Hopefully knowledge is power will be done also

Hourglass is one person making a no brainer decision that comes as a surprise to everyone.

It's a silly twist that might as well be Jeff just announcing the winner of the challenge actually lost. I suspect production thought there'd be more backlash against the people executing it, and instead most people are just saying "well of course you made yourself immune, like anyone would have. no hard feelings."

Do or die is an available option in the game that is transparent and can make for some interesting decisions on a couple of levels - should I participate in the challenge, should I throw the challenge, where every player will have to make a tough decision and it's not clear what the right call is.

I don't mind it.

If person whose name escapes me picked rationally last time, they go home.

In this season, if given then choice:
a) compete against Jonathan, but elimination consequences if you don't beat him, or
b) sit out challenge

Everyone should just choose B and Jonathan is given immunity.

To be fair last season from memory was the balance a ball on a stick for as long as possible challenge so very crap shooty

I'm sure that Probst and the production staff are aware of the problems. Perhaps they can improve upon the Knowledge is Power by adding Applebee's food.

Omar just on a whole different level then everyone else. Hope he wins, he’s clearly the best player.

Getting too much of a winner edit imo. He has done a great job playing all sides, but that is tough to maintain all the way to the end.

Lindsay and Mike seem in a better position. I don't think either is seen as a major threat by the others, they have good social games, and the edit makes them seem more trustworthy as alliance members than Omar, who is playing the game hard.

Also does Omar have any HIIs or advantages? I don't think so, which will probably end up hurting him given how many advantages are in play.

Omar being felted in the Ricard 5th slot sounds about right

I'm still not sure how the jury will view Mike in terms of him dumping Rocksroy, Hai etc as close allies so early and we don't have ponderosa to tell us any info this season. At this point I think Mike is a lock for FTC edit wise but I'm just not sure if he's 2nd-3rd or the winner.

Unfortunately lately it seems far too common that the people who are doing a really good job socially and strategy wise for the entire game get knocked out right before FTC.

Maryanne is the most deserving to win this season and there is not a close 2nd. It was so satisfying to see her get her immunity idol back last week when it looked like that privileged white woman was going to get it. Still it was very disappointing to see the show (and its participants) completely ignore what happened at tribal council in the previous episode.. It was like everyone came back to camp and everything was back to the status quo of the privileged people running things just like the previous 41 seasons. Then the privileged white woman (who later won the immunity challenge) won the reward challenge and proceeded to take 2 privileged people on the reward while Drea and Maryanne stood there shivering their asses off in the rain.

I don't even remember Lindsey early in the season but damn has she gotten hot

And what a spot for Drea. Big chance Lindsey goes home tonight and Drea can sail into the final 6 with essentially 2 idols, an extra vote and no blood on her hands (well Mike might be salty)

Two seasons in a row, people have failed the Monty Hall problem, but survived anyway.

IS THERE NO JUSTICE

Deshawn and Lindsay both won 33 percenters, instead of both playing correctly and losing 67 percenters.

It was interesting but kinda game breaking imo. There's a reason the jury is silent when they sit there. Drea really came out of her shell on exit. Too bad she didn't display that emotion during the season. Was nice to see.
