Would you also push for changing the name of the show to "Island" and to call ex-tribe "Team"?

Are we to form our society based on the rules imposed by those who are most easily offended?

tbh, im not crazy about them using the word tribe. but that's a losing battle. and a lot of people on native twitter don't like white culture using the word tribe. but it's mixed. a lot of indigenous people are fine with people using the word "tribe"

im gonna make a guess that you have little/no experience with indigenous culture and have no idea what the word tribe means to us, and how we feel when white people use it who have no understanding of the history of the word.

i mean you should at least try to understand what it means to people who are harmed by the word, and why they are harmed, right?

As much as it's totally understandable to not want to be a Laurel to Voce and Xander, you have so much time to turn on them post merge, which Laurel totally bottled.

Keeping a volatile physically weak Tiff could very well end them right back at TC next episode.

Also the edit surrounding Tonys spy shack to Brad's is very telling.

Somehow Shan comes out of it edited as the strategic wizard for just sitting back at camp. She's either the winner or is having a strong decoy edit. Still not sure just which one just yet.

When does Evvy get cancelled for calling Tiffany "dude"?

Really think they should have flipped and dumped Tiffany; that kind of crazy paranoia and irrational gameplay isn't what you want in an ally. Xander seems like the perfect alliance goat - he's super open and trusting and can be pushed in whatever direction you want.

I really hope this mishap of not voting out Xander comes back to bite them hard. What a completely illogical play by the girls.

If we’re going to do a stupid advantage of the week every episode, we’re going to enter Island of the Idols territory.
It looks like someone is going to have to sneak into another camp again which has been stupid every time theyve done it

Curious what happens with Xander's voting rights if they merge to only 2 tribes, meaning 1 advantage is just never found.

Or if it gets relocated and Xander finds the second one. Perhaps he needs blurt out the stupid words twice.

Also seems silly to be the first to blurt out the words. You can assume if someone else found it, they'd say the words. If no one says words then can assume no one else found it, or they are employing same don't talk first strategy as you.

I get the desire to have more diverse casts, but surely they could have found a model/bartender/barrista or two for the straight white cisgender female role. Jesus Christ this show has destroyed itself.

I was actually curious to see if he has to say it every time or just the once.

I think it's fine to say first as long as you can come up with a reasonable way to work it in and I thought Xander did an ok job. The one about broccoli will be tough lol

The phrases are just so obvious it's almost cringeworthy.

And that idol taking a vote away with tribes of six kind of backfired when two tribes were already down to five people. The playing around with votes being gained and lost seems to be a theme and it's kind of annoying.

Also, they have now all been on the island for five days with zero food beyond fruit - how do they still have energy to kill it at challenges?

How do you know they have zero food?

Horrible vote, the girls really should've been able to identify at best Tiffany is a goat that constantly needs to be managed, at worst she will explode and flip from paranoia at some point.

Xander also had told Evvie about his idol, and in his mind Tiffany must be 100% guaranteed the vote. So even if it had power, it would be really unlikely he would play it at that tribal.



The twist with the crazy phrases is just silly, imo. I think the +ev play is to stay the **** away from that idol. There's a probability one will not be found, there's a probability that someone will not want to activate it since it'll make them a target, and even if it gets activated most if not all people will figure out it's a big deal and those players will become targets. If your vote didn't get taken away it would probably be slightly +ev to just use it first opportunity after it is activated. With the vote being taken away, it's too much of a mess.

I don't care how loyal they think Tiffany is going to be. She's irrational. And paranoid. You can't count on somebody like that. Evvie told Tiffany she read the note and knows that Xander's idol is not currently active. So, Tiffany wants to vote out Voce NOW, potentially allowing Xander's idol to become active before next team meeting where they vote people out. How is that a good idea? I kinda hope this group has to keep going to the team meeting where they vote people out until they are all gone. And in the mean time they have no food and fire.

God Tiffany is really annoying. But it seemed obvious after Evvy told her everything about Xander's idol, that they were not going to turn on her.

Not to be shallow but is there a single attractive person on this season? The one law student girl is ok I guess? I guess Xander is supposed to be the token good-looking guy?

So far the only people I am inclined to root for are the guy from Sri Lanka and the former NFL player. They both seem like good dudes from what I can tell. Also the older lady who sat out the IC seems like a nice person but she likely has zero chance.

It feels like they decided to throw in every dumb twist they ever thought up in the writer's room this season. I don't mind the silly phrases though, could be good for a laugh.
