re: Ricard - she was telling Liana "if I'm not here next time, Ricard can't be trusted", which is accurate - if Shan is out, it means Ricard betrayed her because he's supposed to be her #1.

re: idol - who would be doing this calling out? Other than Ricard and Shan, no one knows she opened it. They all know the phrase from when Brad had the idol, and they agreed Shan would say it. Genie had no idea that Shan had actually opened it.

Goat genie move would've been if she opened it in secret, so it was hers, then ep played out as it did and Shan/Ricard thought they had an idol, but really it was Genies and she used it at tribal to dump one of them.

Isn't that just proof of her social game. If you look at basically all 4 votes, Shan has been essentially socially controlling all of them, she's basically been the key player for the last 3, considered a solid ally if not their most loyal ally by the time they were voted out. She knew essentially everything that was happening regarding advantages and twisted that in her favor. I don't really know how she did it either, seems like it would have been far more obvious.

I'm surprised that she's not getting more credit on this thread. I can't remember the last time a new player has been this clearly impressive this early. The exit press for that whole tribe portrays this bizarre picture of Shan being like a Jim Jones cult leader of the tribe. She's being set up for a fall with the amount of focus she's getting but I've loved her, definitely one of the best casting choices they've made recently. Ricard's also been pretty good, clearly a very smart player.

Although I'm way higher on this season than most here. It's for sure one of the better newbie casts and seasons, I wish Production would lay off with the twists because this is a very strong TV cast.
