Each to their own. Totally agree for sport but in reality tv entertainment shows I want character driven moments and questionable human decision making not game bot behaviour.

So many iconic Survivor moments for me have been people getting 'out of line'. To name a few

-James going home with two idols at the final 7
-Erik/Brandon passing off their immunity necklace and immediately being voted out
-The whole disaster tribes of Pagong, Fans, Ulong, Brains
-Tyson voting himself out
-The Jt love letter and idol pass
-The men One World tribe winning immunity and voluntarily going to tribal council anyway for absolutely no reason
-The whole arcs of Chaos Kass and Abbi Maria

On the other hand I've seen hundreds of well executed vote splits and can't remember any of them

I’ve accepted new school Survivor for what it is, but the last two seasons have just been meh. I’ve enjoyed them enough to watch live, but I doubt I’d ever rewatch.

Especially following a season like WaW, which is in contention for GOAT season. Plus, there was an extra long break between WaW and 41.

Hoping for season 45, they do a returning player season. Definitely not happening for 43, and I’m guessing not likely for 44.
So often on returnee seasons, the pre game alliances combined with prior reputations leads to a very predictable and frustrating boot order (All Stars, Game Changers, WAW).

Re winners at war specifically, I appreciate production for managing to assemble together what is essentially the best cast of reality tv history (I never thought id get to see the likes of Ethan and Danni Boatwright on my screen again)

However, the old school players being pagonged off one by one by one in 19th-13th place, combined with the absolutely dreadful existence that is edge of extinction, sapped a lot of the enjoyment of the season out for me

The great play I'm referring to doesn't have to do with voting decisions (which is what I'm assuming you're referencing by game bot since you also mentioned unmemorable vote splits) but more about players who masterfully socially manipulate other players. Like what we saw from Omar last season.

Netflix has seasons 16 and 37 at the moment. God how I miss old survivor casting. I could watch Parv and Amanda for hours.

Season 43 cast is out. For those complaining about the lack of super hot women on recent seasons, I think you will be happy lol. https://tvline.com/lists/survivor-se...os-bios-videos

Amazon Prime video has seasons 1 and 28-30 for free. Hulu has seasons 1, 22, 25-34, and 37-39.

Re-watching s20 on Netflix this week. Fans vs. Favorites. Reminding me of how dull and boring the challenges have become.

I rewatched HvV a while back and the challenges seemed brutal. People breaking toes, dislocating shoulders, and getting their heads bashed. Good times.

I've been trying to figure out which previous survivor Noelle reminds me of, but I'm stumped.

I can't believe they still do blindfolded challenges. There was one where they rolled giant puzzle pieces or something and one lands right on Spencer's knee, I was certain it was dislocated

My memory’s hazy, but I think they stopped blindfolded challenges after S30 - the pre-merge woman (Kelly?) who was allied with Mike had a brutal instance with something landing on her.

Lol one of the few memorable things from that season that wasn’t people whining or people being awful human beings (Will, Dan).

Things to be worried about

a) They completely ignore the above

b) They do not successfully convey the 'spirit' of the show to the UK audience

re: the new cast:
ok I'm as progressive as one can get but get all those fat people outta here. also, haven't we done the handicapped stuff like 20 years ago and found out it's not possible? people will vote the handicapped person as soon as they have the chance to "keep the tribe strong".

Literally neither of the other two times a handicapped person played did that happen

Historically older people get targeted first. If there is a large age discrepancy, anyway.

Current cast has seen all of s41 and half of s42 so everyone will be assuming no tribe swap and 'merge' at 12.

As such we may see a bit of reverting back to 'challenge strength' in the early rounds out of fear of what happened to Shan and Ricard in S41
