The risk or safe gamble pirate wheel at the start of season is a version of a prison's dilemma.

3 boxes = 1 flame(life) + 2 skull(death) (1/3 flame odds)
3 boxes - 1 skull = 2 boxes = 1 flame + 1 skull (1/2 flame odds)

when it is offered to swap, both boxes have a 50% chance of being a flame or a skull so no increase in probability by switching
lol

As I recall the proof is:

step 1
x = .9 repeating (starting assumption)

step 2
thus 10x = 9.9 repeating (by moving the decimal point over)

step3
subtract the two and 9x= 9 thus x=1

step 4
watch mind being blown!

that was a great tribal...loved both Drea and Mike's reactions - it's a game! Have fun with the results if someone outplays you! I've always hated the tears and recriminations and bullshit anger at being voted out. Last week, Hai also had fun with it.

Marianne is the absolute worst

I enjoy both to be honest and have absolutely no beef with someone being upset/frustrated about being voted out.

Ultimately they are in an 18 man sng with $1million up top and $100k for second. Losing is going to hurt and understandably so.

Wow sexist comment. You are canceled by Probst and CBS.

18 person sng.

I'm very fine with someone in the moment of elimination being bitter and upset; it's a one in a lifetime shot for almost everyone who gets eliminated. The whole "you got me, nice move, I love you all" seems way more performative to me than someone saying "you jerks, you lied to my face and I'll never forgive you."

My problem with Drea's casting is that she showed more personality during her exit than the entire rest of her run on the show. At least she'll be remembered for something now.

I like the little diabolical laugh by Omar in the preview. It seems though that they're suggesting he's going to win, which means he's not going to.

Yeah. She thinks it would be put back into play if she played it, but assumes it wouldn't be put back into play if it expired? Even if she's right, she should still play it.

Her loss, our gain though. Very entertaining.

Just finished. Very impressive move by MaryAnn. Playing to win instead of playing to get dragged to the end. I was still surprised that she pulled it off. There were several things she should've said to Mike and Jonathan, namely that Jonathan was the target, and that Mike was the backup had Jonathan lost.

She should've just straight up told them look, Omer is going to win if he gets to the end and we need to get rid of him now. And when Mike is still going on about getting rid of Romeo she should've said who the **** cares about getting rid of Romeo, he's drawing dead to win anything.

Maybe she did say some of those things and they just didn't show it.

Mike is really really not good at the game.

This was pretty obvious to everyone that doesn't have racism in their heart.

It's going to be difficult for her to win the game given the systemic racism inherent in the game though. Look at the individual immunity winners. 7 times won by people of privilege, 6 of them being white (Tori x2, Jonathan x2, Lindsay x2, Hai x1). These immunity challenges need to be revamped.

Have been quietly impressed with Maryannes strategic game (we knew the social was there) all season without really cleanly seeing it.

Tonight we did. Biggest move of the season so far and it was all hers.

She's also left a huge threat in Lindsay in the game vulnerable and isolated at five.

Maryanne and Mike are playing their idols so she has to win out from here.

If Maryanne takes Mike or Lindsay at fire, the game is hers and to be honest, i'm fully expecting it at this point

Has there been a bigger post merge goat in the last ten seasons than Romeo?

We've seen social pariahs in the game like Noura and Angelina but at least they were playing strategically hard.

The last person who I can remember being seen as such a 'dead fish' so to speak is...well the infamous Will Sims from s30

Maybe results orientated thinking but should Omar have voted out Mike last week after getting the idol off him

-Split up Jonathan and Mike
-Acquire an idol at the final 6 now yours
-Leave Drea in the game as a bigger target ahead of you
