I was thinking a good beware advantage would be one that was a disadvantage for whoever held it/read it last. Meaning that if you leave it in your bag, and someone goes through your bag and finds it, they are now stuck with the disadvantage.

yeah, but in this season the idols are all essentially public knowledge because of how they had to be activated. so that + knowledge is power advantage is kind of ridiculous. Liana doesn't even have to suss out anything

What I have recorded is:

Naseer - Hidden immunity idol activated in tonight's episode
Deshawn - Extra vote
Liana - "Knowledge is power" advantage (can ask someone if they have an idol/advantage, and if correct, can take it from them
Xander - Extra vote, Hidden immunity idol activated in tonight's episode
Shan - Extra vote, Hidden immunity idol activated in tonight's episode

Geez Shan really is getting relentless positive content isn't she. Even ship wheel Island was 100% Shan confessionals with one very short Liana one thrown in at the end - talking about how much she loves Shan.

A poor episode for me after the high of last week - again too advantage rather than character driven.

I can see the Danny/Deshawn/Sydney trio being in a lot of trouble next week and will end up regretting not throwing either of the last challenges.

Really boring episode since the boot was so obvious and half the ep was still spent on it. At least we got rid of one of the worst/most boring players, so it is not all bad.

Anyways, aren't all the codeword-idols dead after merge? Seems like utterly horrible not to play it as Shan since 2-player tribe is quite likely to force a merge to happen.

Believe the idols, and lost vote are only dead at merge if all 3 weren't found and activated by then.

As they have now found all three, the three people will now go into the merge with an idol.

Combined with all the extra votes flying around, most likely destined for another advantagegeddan

-Green+Yellow six teaming up, and flipping Erika

-Liana potentially stealing Naseers public idol

-Blue getting virtually pagonged

-The core four of Liana, Evie, Shan, Ricard running the show with Tiffany hanging around as the final three goat

-Final three of Shan, Ricard and Tiffany with like a 9-1-0 Shan win.

Why wouldn't you play this angle if you're Shan - she has nobody left but Ricard and only had the opportunity to talk to just Liana. Not like she's unwilling to vote out black people either, given she just burned JD. Almost everyone who's met between tribes has made some sort of agreement to work together and the perception thing is obvious. Dunno why people get so triggered by stuff like that. It's not like white people don't work together either.

The advantages suck but I'd put this far ahead of at least 10 seasons. Samoa, Redemption Island, One World to name a few.

Main problem I see with the combined idol is it's impossible to hide who has them, so it opens you up to getting voted out right away. Everyone knows instead of being able to actually keep it to yourself and blindside. So another experiment that to me is totally useless.

I think this season will get much better at the merge. There's very little loyalty between anyone, even Ricard would flip on Shan and vice-versa if they needed to. Definite potential for the women to pick off the men if they can come together.

What I'd like to see for a bit instead of merge is for them to make two tribes for a couple of tribals - split up Ricard and Shan onto separate tribes or at least put them onto the smaller one.

also ricard has been an elite ally to shan. shan was stupid to argue with him.

shan and ricard screwed over dj and what's her name really bad. they were both particularly brutal blindsides.

shan and ricard talking her into not opening the idol, and shan straight up taking dj's advantage. really brutal stuff.
