agreed. My wife generally develops an immediate, genuine affection for anyone who she finds out is gay, much in the way Corinne apparently does. She finds Corinne's attitude offensive.

It's fine to like being around other-sex-gay people as a straight person because it can be a very comforting thing to have a male-female relationship that isn't influnced by sex in any way, since that is a very hard thing to come by in our over-sexual society.

What Corinne is doing however is defining a person by what sex he or she is attracted to, her behavior literally makes me think in her head she has a different category for "gay males" and thinks they are all the same and awesome. Which obv is ridiculous and I feel like it is over compensating for showing off "how okay she is with the gays" given the current climate in the USA regarding homosexuals and their rights, bla bla. Sadly she doesn't seem to be smart enough to realise that by such behavior she is actually hurting the cause of creating equal treatment and rights for homosexuals, because her behavior clearly reinforces the train of thought that they are NOT the same and actually are different from "normal people".

Brenda completely won the episode without having a confessional.

Real skill baby

Corinne is awful.

lol clovis, way to miss the point on phillip, sir. You basically outline the reasons why phillip has above average equity, lol.

Pretty much half the field is drawing dead to the million and you have phillip getting to the end game a high percent of the time. You do the math.

gets there a high percent of the time cause of the lopsided null chance he has to win...

He has above average equity if the point of the game is to get to FTC with no equity to win which of course it's not.

I'm happy to do the math,

X=AxB

Where x is chance of winning, A is chance of getting to FTC and B is chance of winning vote. Since B is always 0, and as we all learned in elementary school, anything times 0 is 0, my point is clear.

Malcolm is never going to be taken to the f3. If Reynold and Eddie are in the f4 and one of them has immunity, they will always vote out Malcolm regardless of who the fourth person is. Malcolm's job is to get to the f4 with the best possible chance to win immunity.

But my only point was that Philip has above average equity and, therefore, is an above average player.

Half the field is drawing dead to win and rarely makes the end game. I'm not sure Phillip is completely drawing dead but he goes deep so often it really ups his equity.

nathalie wouldve been regarded as "drawing dead" yet has more equity than a guy like philip imo.

at least floaters can win against disliked people. philipp cant beat anyone.

only way he wins this season is if its a final two with shamar. gl

Would be really awesome if Malcom could keep his old group voting together for a couple more weeks, until he can't protect the other two "alphas" anymore, and then just forms a new group with the 4 "alphas" with 2 immunity idols.

When symbolizing multiplication in an equation using X as a variable, you should always use *

Just a tip.

He has huge equity. Any contestant wants to take him to the final three as he cant win. It was Rob's strategy

Watching the way Cochran and Dawn handle Phillip compared to how Brandon handled him is pretty great. Definitely pulling for one of them or Malcolm to win right now.

Grunch:

That move where Phillip stick his face out at people tilts me.

Cochran does a pretty nice job of humoring Phillip and deflecting him with reasoned logic when Phillip is wanting to do something that Cochran doesn't want to do. I liked the bit about not voting Corrine off now because he didn't want to send the wrong message to the rest of the favorites alliance before the merge. It's a good argument that doesn't make Phillip wonder why Cochran is digging in to keep Corrine around against Phillip's wishes. I'm curious if Dawn or Cochran have any conversations with Corrine about how much Phillip wants to get rid of her??? I'm guessing not, or she would have flipped with Julia and Michael tonight to get rid of Philip. (I think she might have missed an opportunity on that one.) Would have been so easy, to say, "Yeah, let's split the votes on these fans, then jump over and vote with them to get rid of Phillip." Goes against the don't make the rest of the alliance nervous argument, but in Corrine's case, it was possibly worth the risk to take out her biggest enemy in the game.

LOL at Dawn's eyes when Phillip is pontificating about being a power lifter.

Why has there been no mention of Brenda's knee injury? Not only that, but it seems as if they are actively downplaying it...like, I bet my mother-in-law hasn't even noticed that she's injured.

I was a little shocked that Dawn dropped out of the reward challenge first.

Not sure Brenda should be doing a cookies and brownies dance in front of the losing tribe, but I can certainly understand being stoked about cookies and brownies (gif yet?). LOL at Dawn...it's not a big deal. Diarrhea fest.

Dawn on Phillip: "He sees all of his strengths and none of his weaknesses."

Corrine on Phillip: "Tubby lunchbox."

Cochran on Julia: "Saying Julia has a vanilla personality would be doing a disservice to vanilla."

I like the idea of Malcolm wanting to surround himself with other athletic males, but it seems like a tricky plan to pull off given that it will seem pretty suspicious him trying to deflect the target off of his buddies all the time. The Corrine vs. Phillip war might help him on that front. But trying to sneak those 4 guys along seems ambitious.

LOL Julia. Just sit there like the bump on the log that you are, fool. Does Dawn ratting her out mean that she and Cochran don't want Phillip to have her under his wing? They like the Michael-Corrine pair better? I'm not sure going this route was the greatest path for Dawn and Cochran. They were the two people that I didn't think were in a bad spot being with Phillip and allowing Phillip to have some power.

I was tickled at Cochran trying hard not to laugh in Phillip's face when Phillip was trying to say he threw the challenge.

Missed you, Swag.

I mean, I guess it's fine to consider the best survivor player to be the one with the best odds of winning but I find it odd that so many seem to think this way by default. Especially on a poker forum.

I can see why someone would sacrifice some equity to increase their chances of winning but I really don't get just ignoring equity, completely.

So if Malcolm is for real about allying with the alphas and assuming he and Corinne are still tight and assuming Corinne and Michael are still tight is it:

Corinne
Michael
Malcolm
Reynold
Eddie
Erik

vs

Philip
Andrea
Dawn
Cochran

After the merge? With Sherri and Brenda as swing votes?
