I think they went a bit over board with all the new twists. Redemption Island, being able to switch players, winner of RI challenge gets to give a clue for the HII to anyone still left (is this optional?), etc.

It seems like they threw every twist in there they could think of hoping that something will stick and make for good TV / strategy.

Wow, this is ****ing terrible. The twists are all awful, and some of the returnees are just horrendous. I guess I missed the Candice rumor when I first saw the cast list, but I have no clue how or why she's back. I guess Monica is only back so they could bring in her husband, but that's still awful. And then Tina? I like Tina as a person, but she's quite boring. Aside from Kat and Laura, they should be ashamed of their female returnees. And I get the Rupert thing, but...FML.

I liked Hub snarking on her 'ants in the pants' syndrome in the EW interview.

I also liked Brad, Monica's Hub, in interview but he seems very aggressive like Matt Quinlan the Rooster, another lawyer.

Definitely wanted to appeal to old schoolers. On RHAP, Big Tom mentioned he and his son were invited back but had to decline cuz of their new show. Also rumors Greg and his sister were in the mix.

Twists look awful and cast is pretty meh but I'm gonna go in with an open mind.

It sounds like they put out feelers to everyone except losers like S4 Gabe and Osten.
Terry Dietz was in the running as was S22 Ashley. Tom Westman was asked.

Richard Hatch will NEVER play survivor again. He got buck naked and rubbed his penis on a woman, causing her to have an emotional meltdown and quit the game. The man is also a tax cheat criminal, and there are rumors he abused his adopted son. CBS cannot take the risk of bringing him back because chances are something awful will happen.

****ING Candice. Her and Colton are the two survivors that I despise the most and they are both on this season.

I am curious to see how many immunity challenges get thrown but I think this season is definitely making a play for worst season of all time.

My first thought when I heard this (as I suffered through that podcast) was that Tom and Lex were both FOS. At best, I would think they saved one spot for an old-school player, and Gervase is a better fit than either of those whiny bitches IMO.

Terry and Tom would have been fun to see back, especially in place of Rupert 4.0. Ashley seems like a weird choice, though arguably less so than Candice and Monica. Maybe Kim Spradlin turned down a spot, but I'm surprised we didn't see her and her super hot sister. Chelsea and her pro baseball boyfriend would have made sense in place of Monica had this not been filmed during baseball season. Natalie Bolton and a girlfriend weren't available? Shane Powers and that girlfriend of his from The Apprentice? And maybe I'm crazy, but these two couples seem like perfect fits to me for this format: Abi and Pete, and Fishbach and Courtney.

But no, let's bring back Candice...and Monica...and Tina. Good call, CBS!

Easily the lowest cast in terms of cumulative skill since season one.

Yeah the female casting is pretty terrible. On the newb tribe the only girls that seem capable are Rachel (Tyson's GF) and Marissa (Gervase's niece) and they could be good characters in their own right. The other three seem really weak and would have no shot of ever being cast without their loved ones.

It's hard to believe that with all the people they have to choose from they went with some of these. Terry and his wife would be so much more interesting than Rupert.

Don't think MLB teams would allow anyone under contract to participate. Who is her boyfriend?
