What happened from last season that Mike didn't get the voicemail? I feel like I missed something.

His friend listened to the voice mail which is what led his friend to telling Jessica that mike didn't go to Harvard.

Great return imo and great to see Gabe from Breaking Bad, I was disappointed when he was killed off. Kind of wanted the whole she knows about the lies thing to go further than 'I'm ok with it if Harvey does x' but still a strong episode. Or at least, I think it was. It's possible that it was an average episode and I've just really missed the show.

Gale is awesome, but unlike a lot of you his BB role immediately popped to my mind, so I was having a hard time sympathizing with Harvey and Jess about his danger or picturing him as this badass with an iron grip on the firm. He is awesome though and I am really happy to see him at all. Rest of this season should be good, entertaining stuff.

Watch season 1 of Damages, and it will become pretty clear how he can be considered a menacing character.

like the old partner coming back, think they needed to add a season-long storyline to the plot

Anyone watch ep 2? Aside from Rachel being one of the most beautiful women on the planet I feel like the show is taking a nosedive so far this season. Why the hell is Mike breaking up with Rachel just because he didn't tell her about his past? Why was this episode a rehash of the same story we've seen 12 times already?

can someone explain what jessica is worried about with this guy coming back? shes still a founding partner in the company right? how would she just get kicked out?

also have no idea what mike is doing.

Yeah I really felt like this episode was a bit of a cluster****. There were a few good moments, but overall I really felt like the writing in the episode was really scattered.

Was season 1 this way? Because I cant seem to justify, why I still watch this show besides Rachel.

The writing is terrible.

Not even the Mike Rachel storyline is good now.

The problem I'm having is that I don't really have any reason to hate the new guy.

They tell me to hate him, and the characters hate him, but he keeps saying he's a changed guy and he doesn't seem THAT bad. Are they going to build an entire season arc around some dude who is kind of an ******* coming back to the company? Who cares.

Very true, especially given the fact that I know him more or less entirely from Breaking Bad, where the actor was playing someone the complete opposite.

Didn't he play a dick on The Wire? I remembered him from that before BB for some reason. But yeah, that whole storyline is AIDS so far for the reasons zbt mentioned.

Seriously is Mike re tar ded? 'I wanna tell her everything so when we break up I'll be left fully exposed'??????? If I was Harvey I would be fighting the urge to shoot him in the face there and then. Who writes this crap?

Despite loving The Wire, I cant really remember who he played.

Mike's behavior this episode was ridiculous. Too much overacting imo.

I watched. Love the show, but wasn't thrilled with this episode. It's very bizarre to finally see the two make a move towards getting together a dozen episodes into the series, then fizzle about 25 minutes of real time later. It's really hard to see this series having all that much to offer beyond the rest of this season, seems like we're going to see the same stuff over and over.

I said this on the first page, and it still remains true for me.

I was attracted to this show in the pilot because it felt like we would see this child prodigy doing cool mind tricks and outsmarting all the adults all the time. It isn't a deep concept, but it seemed fun on the surface.

But we don't see nearly enough of that stuff in the show. He seems to basically just be Harvey with a more readily available conscience. Which...is going to make this show really repetitive after a while.

I'll keep watching because there isn't a damn ****ing thing on TV right now, but if we're just going to see the same episode every week and have to go through an on again off again relationship every 15 minutes, I'll probably stop.

Yeah I definitely agree this episode wasn't too great, definitely worse than last week.

As someone else has already touched on I think the writing was scattershot. Ultimately I don't care about Jessica's or Lewis's problems. Suits isn't an ensemble cast type of show, Mike Ross is the reason why we're here and there was just too little focus on him in this episode. His being found out by Jessica and what was going to happen to him was only touched on this week. Pro tip: Don't leave your protagonist out of the story.

Lewis is at least a interesting/quirky character. I couldn't care less about Jessica at all.

Especially after she wants one of the main characters fired.

Is anyone else waiting to see Norma? because I'm picturing her weighing at least 4 bills.
