Tonight's episode is fantastic. I would lie down in traffic to get at Meghan Markle

Another good episode... I'm very happy with the slight change in direction that this show has taken.. allowing Harvey to be a bit more of the focus and allowing the show to be edgier than the other USA shows.

Odd choice imo to go with the omg we kissed now it's so awkward angle.. but we'll see how it plays out.

Next weeks episode looks promising.

I thought Suits was pretty damn good. Never saw the whole weed angle coming. I think that's what made the show, the whole "guy leaving his past behind him". From the previews I thought it was going to be a "rainman" type deal but the fact that he was trying to sell some bud to keep Fay from Wings in her hospice care was a pretty awesome twist.

Best part was when the kid grabbed the suits and flipped open the briefcase, "now we're even"
lololol

they film this show (or at least, the pilot) in my office building. there were signs all over the area (financial district, Toronto) saying "Suits Base Camp". We were joking that the "suits" were plotting something, and in a week, there would be millions of faceless, grey suit-wearing lawyers, robotically climbing the facing of the buildings and killing anyone still thinking independently, which, of course, is a perfect metaphor for life as a lawyer.

awesome that the show actually turned out to be about lawyers. maybe we were right.

Thought it was a really good ep, but, i didnt like they happened to be firing the guy who is a genius with numbers who didnt finish his degree and lied on his application to get his job. I eyerolled pretty big at that.

They fired him due to him looking into the Aberdeen company, using the fact that he lied & doesnt have a CPA license as legitimate grounds for firing him.

Was a good solid episode imo

Yes, i got that they just used it as an excuse. I just thought it was a standard cliche writing device to introduce a character with a very similar background to Mike to reintroduce the fact that he didnt go to law school. They could have just as easily used another reason that is similar enough to create the Mike and Havey tension in the episode without having to parallel the details so closely.

Yeah gotcha. I honestly think that these type of shows are "dumbed down" to appeal to the masses - reminding people that Mike actually didnt go to Law school, and what could happen to him, etc

I agree that the similarities were too close but the characters are highly intelligent and are great at their jobs, not sure what grounds the could of used instead to fire someone who is exceptional at their job.

Almost turned this show off to dismiss forever after that really poorly done poker scene. Was thinking if the writers can't put together a 15 second scene of poker that isn't full of mistakes then the more complex stuff is going to be ridiculously removed from reality

Gave it a second chance, and three episodes in now. Although my guess was right it's still a fun show to watch

Pretty much everyone writes poker scenes poorly.

the plots have gotten better but something thats been tilting me recently is the fact that mike rarely used his retention abilities in the first ~4 episodes and in the last 2 was able to memorize pages full of words and then a page full of random numbers after looking at both for <1 minute. i get that they have to showcase his ability, but ep 1 was the only decent way so far imo.

I'm not sure if I can handle this conflict between Mike and Rachel. The show is nothing without her!

At one o'clock today in the middle of a rushed, annoying workday, it occured to me that Meghan Markle was the bartender in the Skinny Jeans commercial in the Miller Lite Man Up series

Good call 2outs. She's way hotter in Suits though, I guess it's the lawyer thing and they don't hide her freckles.

Watched 10 and 11 back to back. 10 was really strong, 11 was okish.

I think Rachel and Mike will sleep with each other in the next episode.
