he just happened to show up when she was supposed to be meeting the test master and earlier in the episode he boasted about scoring in the top 99 percentile in an 8th grade test when he was in 1st grade

Still a bit far fetched, because people usually dont show up when they take the test for someone else and have the risk of being uncovered. It didnt make sense to me.

Because she is the worlds best paralegal she worked it out.

LOL, this show gets more ridiculous by the episode. This show kinda turns into Entourage (only a bit different - obviously).

The scene where Scotty and Harvey exchange first the documents, then the pens manifests the comical element in the show.

It's not a drama for me anymore. The storylines are borderline ridiculous and not very realistic, but I wanna see Mike screw the paralegal, so I keep watching.

I'm possibly the only one watching it seriously and enjoying it. But I am. Tho I think it needs to spend more time on Harvey who is the main character lets face it. The other partner lawyer guy is awesome too. Having a picture of himself on his desk is perfect.

I'm with you phill... some of the things they do are pretty ridiculous... but I enjoy the Harvey character enough to look past it.

From what I read, we are supposed to see more about Harvey's past and more of his personality in the last few episodes.

I am enjoying it, too, but it has its cringe-worthy moments.

I absolutely loved the pilot, when they made it seem as if the main character was going to be so smart that he actually had outside the box ideas and other cool moments.

Now that he's at the law firm, he seems to just be a normal guy, in fact he seems to be dumber than lots of people he works with quite often. Which is certainly plausible, but makes for a pretty boring TV show.

He's dumber then his co workers probably because he never went to law school and is still learning what goes on and what to do in a law office. He has almost no experience, he is just book smart. Now his talent is finding the little things in a case that most people miss. Also, he came up with the defimation case when only the head peopole thought of it.

He only came up with defamation due to the other lawyer mentioning it in another context. Which sums up his intelligence well imo, taking in details and forming new connections with them.

But yeah, he is extremely smart and regularly cracks the case as he is great at analysis with a photographic memory, but he has zero practical legal experience and has been generally pretty sheltered in his life. The show has been pretty consistent so far imo. He is smart but he was always overly trusting of people as he assumes everyone else will act that way, especially in mutually beneficial ways such as taking a plea deal in the mock trial.

Was playing last night while watching.. so I didn't catch everything, but from what I saw.. it seemed like a meh episode. Was nice to see that Louis doesn't always have to be the bad guy.

I don't remember reading it anywhere in this thread.. but season 1 has 12 episodes, so 4 more eps this season. Season 2 will have 16 episodes.

In my opinion worst episode of the season and likely the downfall of the series.

So basically Mike is free and clear with regards to worrying about getting caught for not going to Harvard. Louis has been softened up. Mike and the paralegal are apparently totally cool with each other again. Where did all the conflict go!?

If we no longer have to worry about Mike getting caught, one of his bosses being a threat, or the paralegal being upset - what separates Suits now from any other legal procedural?

Horrible direction for the show to take by solving all the problems.

Yeah, i dont think you understood it.

Louis proved he can be good. But the final scene is proof that isnt his first instinct at all and it basically reset his relationship with Harvey. Mike's chances of being caught have slimmed slightly but there is no huge change. Its not like they were gonna pull a "hey, i went on a website and you werent on there - shenanigans!". It also, significantly, opened the door to the potential of him being linked to a crime even if it doesnt have his fingerprints on the hacking. As for the stuff with the paralegal that was reset at the end of the previous episode.

The big development of the episode was Mike blowing up at Harvey and it showed a smoother edge to Louis where he cared that he basically killed a guy who was innocent, but he is still going to be a tough bastard to work for because that is how he operates.

Just started watching it. I really hated the first 30 minutes of the pilot and only kept watching because of my gf. Good thing, because after that I really started to enjoy the show.

pretty sure this ep is the calm before the storm and all won't be rosy by the season finale.

highlight of the season so far for me:

This ffs.

What was up with the scene where she randomly dropped, "My first time was in Greece," while studying with Mike?

That was awkward as ****.

On the whole I like the show. I think my main problem with it is the show doesn't even seem to know which genre it is. It seems like a drama but they infuse it with too many attempts at humour that it throws the pace off and it makes it hard to want to pay close attention and try to figure out the show.

i don't mind having humour, but the humour in the show is more cheeseball and cliche than something you'd expect in that environment.
