Probably best episode so far. Cast is so incredible, everyone kills it. Writing is amazing. Reaching Sopranos-level greatness this season imo.

That final scene with shiv and Kendall was amazing. Went into this series thinking it’d be an on the nose Fox News allegory but they mainly use that for laughs when the real story is the people and the family. Really good ****.

The whole exchange between Tom and Greg(ory) about the slogan was amazing. Pure gold. They were both so goddamn honest in that scene. Tom's unhappy disbelief "We're listening?!" killed me.

Cherry Jones and Holly Hunter both kill everything they've ever been in, and this show is no exception. I wish there was a way to keep them for the long haul.

The only thing I don't like is I don't see what Shiv sees in Tom... she must really love him, because otherwise, what's the play?

He's weak, easily manipulated, and provides her with a public perception of normal stability.

She's clearly the most competent of the Roy children, and he's perfect cover for her behind-the-scenes ambition. She obviously is not monogamous, and appears adept at using him to deflect attention from herself.

He's her sacrificial lamb.

Love the show. I find Roman's schtick a bit tiresome TBH. I also don't buy that Roman would continue pushing him out front in the midst of a big crises.

Can't really figure out Marcia. Does anyone have a read on her deal?

Tom is the opposite of Logan in many ways, which is what Shiv to some extent wants/needs. Tom is unconditional love. He worships her and more importantly, isn't a threat to her.

I was starting to feel the same way about Roman, just saw him as comic relief, but I've grown to love his character and I think Kieran Culkin does an amazing job playing him. I think we are starting to see some layers to his character. He was clearly abused by his father, and always treated as the runt of the litter, so I can see how his constant wisecracks and DGAF attitude are a self-defense mechanism.
