It just hit me in the shower just now, for reasons that I can't explain, that just killing Chrissy wasn't enough--when he had a chance to **** Chrissy's ****-buddy in Vegas, he did that, too.

What an *******.

yes, Tony is a completely, and utterly selfish *******. it's not exactly subtle though.

watched the episode where everyone finds out about Vito this morning. Nothing subtle but the episode is just hilarious. When Finn goes to Satriale's and and Tony says "tell them what you told me" and the entire crew is completely silent and staring at Finn made me laugh. It was the most serious I can remember them all looking.

Bobby: "Well he can't come in our social club no more."

Carlo: "Social club?? He's gotta go!!"

Adriana La Cerva: [at Christopher's intervention] But when you killed Cosette, that was the last straw.
Anthony 'Tony' Soprano Sr.: Killed the dog? What'd you do that for?
Christopher Moltisanti: It was an accident!
Paulie 'Walnuts' Gualtieri: What, was it barking?

Love this scene, Paulie's line kills me every time.

Guy should be posting here.

I still have doubts since it was foreshadowing for an unwritten scene

Maybe tho, but there are bound to be coincidences

Chrissy was always my fav character on the show. After watching Detroit187, I decided Michael I is my favorite actor, period.

I even liked him in that stupid Stu Ungar movie.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but in the first season, Christopher shoots a guy in the foot in a deli. In Goodfellas, the actor who plays Christopher was shot in the foot by Joe Pesci.

That's a coincidence kinda thing as well

There are so many deep subtle foreshadowing moments , don't murky them up with meaningless coincidences IMO

He shot what 10 people in the show ... Odds of one being in the foot one time is pretty high

Never did watch the whole series...but I'm going through it now...halfway through the second season.

I really hate Carmela.

As an Italian who grew up exactly where The Sopranos takes place, I'm amazed at how well they portray the upper-middle class NJ Italian household, as well as the rest of North Jersey. The family issues, the bogus Catholic guilt, the food, everything.

Amazing show.

You're going to love the season devoted to Carmela. Yeesh. I wanted to pull my hair out.

oh that's good, i never noticed that. given that the character is puerto rican and 'rossi' does not seem puerto rican, yeah. goodfellas is definitely a big part of the show, it's referenced ominously in episode 1.

Are you guys saying you hate the character or the actress? I like them both but I can't imagine hating the actress. Same with Janice... though obv the character pisses me off the portral is pretty dam good.

Speaking only for myself, Edie Falco's portrayal of Carmela Soprano is one of the great performances in television history.

Carmela Soprano is a shallow ****.

As for Janice, I always wonder if Aida Turturro really walks like that? She couldn't, could she?
