Great list, but they were talking about Jackie Jr. in that one.

This also comes back when AJ attempts suicide in the pool.

Tony said something funny to Dr. Melfi about AJ trying to commit suicide. Basically like "He couldn't even do that right."

He also put down 'Ass' before asking Meadow: "As in, how about givin' me some?"

as a reasonably competitive scrabble player, this scene is near-unwatchable - how can he waste 2 S's on a 3 point play?!

either way, solid list, although it kind of goes off the rails at the end. the show will do that to you, though.

LOL, this made me laugh. It's like when there's a poker game on a sitcom and someone says "I call and I raise you my car."

Just once, I want the next line to be "Can I get a ruling?"

After the first poker game (when Syl flips out), they count up the rake. Did they say they took in 60-70 grand off that game??

Melfi: On some level he could have known the rope was too long to keep him submerged.

Tony: Or he could just be a ****ing idiot. Historically, that's been the case.

yes. i was always confused by that as well. i think they call 10k a 'box of ziti' and they say they raked 6-7 boxes of ziti.

wtf?

Box of ziti is 1k.

The game seems like its 400/800/1200 stud hi, they start Davey out with 5k which is barely a couple of bets and he gets stuck quick, by the end of the night he's down 45k.

I think you saw Sunshine take the rake in that game or maybe a smaller one and he was taking $100s so the rake is obviously very steep, but iirc it seemed like the game only lasted one night and broke at 9am, the most it would have really went for was 15ish hours or a few more.

Pretty sure he said 80 boxes after expenses. I mean if it lasted 16 hours 80k comes out to 5k rake an hour. Sil assumed his generated rake was 2k funny enough (game was what, seven handed?) Assuming they're counting what they made off of Davey it'd be just under 2500/hour in rake, was just punching out some broad player per hour/hand rake numbers but I really have no educated guess on how many live 7 stud hands are average in a game like that per hour.

EDIT: I was wrong, a box of ziti is 1K.

Heh, I've always wanted to win a box of ziti playing poker. Turns out I have on numerous occasions. I've just never won 10k which I assumed a box of ziti was worth.

Christopher watches a father dote over his kids while contemplating what to do after learning about Adrianna and the FBI. I believe you're supposed to think back and remember that Aide is infertile, even though iirc it had been quite some time this fact had been explicitly referred to by the show

imo Christopher wanting to eventually have his own kids ultimately tipped the scales in favor of
Spoiler:
killing Aide

Ade isn't infertile, she might have trouble conceiving but it's not certain. The obvious meaning of that scene is that Chris can't stomach the thought of a hum drum, wal-mart lifestyle. Maybe the kid thing plays into it as well though.

Definitely had more to do with wanting to live the baller mob lifestyle than anything else at that particular moment. But Christopher wanted kids like any other red-blooded male but also considered it part of the lifestyle, raising your own boys who will learn from you and eventually get made, plus all the pomp and circumstance that comes from delivering sons and daughters to the greater "family." Maybe even more important, marrying a woman who can't provide kids is probably a huge stain and source of judgement/ridicule within the mob fraternity. He wanted to rise fast, and a wife who can't provide kids is a political no-no. It makes him come across as weak for choosing a wife that can't produce a family.

Reading "Murder Machine" about the DeMeo crew in the 70s and came across the line

To his parents he was just devoted son Anthony-a respectful young man, as handsome as George Raft, strong and self assured, and destined to find what best suited him.
Popped into my head when Juniors talking about his ******ed brother Hercule, "handsome, like George Raft," coincidence I'm sure but the Anthony strong and self assured stuff struck me as neat.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, and its not particularly subtle, but the scene that makes me laugh more than any other is Chris' intervention, especially when when Adriana says something like "Last week he got so high he killed the dog" and Paulie says "What was it, barking?". The delivery is just so perfect
