My GF and I did watch the whole thing...we were frustrated the whole time because it had potential, and we liked the performances...but there was so much flab on this....cut this down to movie-length, and I bet it'd be damn good. So many subplots that weren't needed - the teenage girl and her new douchebag BF, the ex-husband, etc.

The dialogue was cringe-worthy at times, too. It just wasn't well-written.

I did like David Harbour as the Sheriff. It was cool to see him in a lead role.

Not sure why they gave Mathew Modine Ted Danson's toupee, though. It was distracting.

Enjoying so far. Disappointed that they used CGI in some spots where a better homage to 80's movies would have been to use practical effects, but that's severe nitpicking

Watched all 8 episodes today. Very solid show all around. The child actors all did a great job, Eleven especially. The music, both the original score and licensed songs, were great.

The last episode was weird. I thought it was fine and everything but they were obviously going for emotional and I didn't really feel it.

Usually turned off by supernatural elements, but it was really well done.
The girl who played Eleven was great. Reminded me of so many 80's movies. Great soundtrack.

was wondering if the actor playing dustin really has that problem with his teeth or if he had and accident or something that left him like that. the answer is yes, he does. can't help but love the guy, I think he played the trope of the funny fat buddy like the kid from goonies perfectly.

Finished it. Good solid season. 80's synth soundtrack was great and the child actors were good and provided some actual funny moments.
