Agree about the sex scene, and while watching while it aired it I tell my wife "so she's got her pants off, but he's still go his coat on?" He proceeds to lift her up and put her back against the wall - still with his coat on, mind you. Then there's a cut away, and when they're shown again.....voila, coat is gone despite them being in the same exact position!

Keep in mind that I think I've spotted maybe 5 continuity errors in my entire life, but this one seemed to be so laughably blatant.

But here's the thing - I still like the show. It remains a fun ride. Sure - you can drive the bread truck through many of the plot holes, but unlike Walking Dead it doesn't seem to take itself too seriously and we don't get stretches of episodes at farms or prisons with nothing happening.

The Strain Renewed For Season 2 By FX

FX has renewed The Strain for Season 2.

The vampire thriller will begin production on Season 2 in mid-November

The Strain has been infectious for FX on Sunday nights, with the most recent episode (Aug 3) drawing 2.27 million viewers and a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating.

Renewal was vital for The Strain, not only is the show significantly serialized, but has a fixed 3-5 season end game mapped out.

LOL at this complex storytelling as if the audience gives a **** about the mystery of what happened to Eph's old lady

so after the 2 good episodes we went right back into the ****ter, come on. There aren't that many episodes left in the season!

Yeah, this episode was almost completely filler, could have condensed the same content down to 1/4 an episode and given us a lot more substance.

This episode was terrible. It still tilts me how careless the "heroes" of the show are around the "deceased" vampire bodies as well after they have seen how easily the worms spread.

If anyone figures out why they used that incredibly complicated intercut non-chronological order storytelling device for the story of Eph's wife's boring last day(highlighted, I think, when she went to a school at night to pick up her son and the lady was like "we sent the kids home early" instead of "wtf bitch it's 8:30pm, it's weird that I'M here") I'd love to hear it, because right now my theory is that they realized it sucked but had nothing else to fill the time with, so rather than split it up across several episodes they just said **** it.

What a bloodfart of an episode.

Anyone remember THE ****ING VAMPIRES THAT KILLED THE OTHER VAMPIRES? I wish the creators of the show did. That would have been interesting.
No instead, what do we get:
zombie apocalypse? welp im still gonna show up to school.

This episode was terrible. Unfortunately they're going to continue with the wife thing because she met the "Master". I would have been so more happy if Setrakian chopped her head off after she bit the son and no more family stuff as it's awful.

This is reaching the "just DVR it and maybe watch a different night" stage. Random NFL game is much better.

look at the way the black dude from continuum's loyal security force lined up in formation behind him when he let the blonde and the exterminator go.

the vampire hit squad is probably a future version of those guys who have traveled back in time after being infected (and stealing some kind of half-cure from their boss) to help out/fix stuff in order to try to make up for their complicity in the downfall of the human race.

What I don't get, and maybe it has been explained while I was zoning out, is why the people in the plane took several days to turn into vampires, and Peter Russo's wife only took a couple of hours?

Good eye, this would be really cool, though I'm not optimistic of the show getting that "smart."

I believe the Jew said that most people get infected right away, some take a while, and perhaps most importantly, that some do not get infected. Maybe I'm wrong.
