Kinda shocked there isn't a thread yet. This blew me away. Season 1 was great, but season 2.... I can recall very few 'sit up and pay attention' moments in my tv-watching career, and episode 6 had me sitting up and paying attention throughout its entirety.

Been a lot of talk in the general and Netflix thread, but yeah this show deserves its own thread. Ep 7 was great as well, but Ep 6 was an all timer.

Great show, one thing I don't get is that....

Spoiler:
Why did they borrow more money from their Uncle? Apparently they own the lot so couldn't they get a much better and long term loan off the land that is supposed to be worth $2 mil?

Something has bothered me about the cans all along, specifically how they were labeled

Spoiler:
Obviously, KBL for Cicero Kalinkowski, Berzatto and L for?? Uncle Lee? He surely didn't come across in S2E6 as the kind of guy putting up cash for a family business, kinda came across to me like a scammer, trying to get the mom interested in some real estate hustle??(

So I found this. Obviously a clue of some kind was hidden in the picture (that NOBOBY is catching on normal viewing) but a few of the comments in the thread made me go hmmm, specifically about the cans and how they are labeled - what it may mean. Are we in for an epic plot twist that would change the entire flavor of the series?

Maybe we are, but that thread is not going to be the explanation. For me that's the worst way to enjoy a tv show. If and when they want us to know more about why, for instance, Carmy puts jeans in his oven, they'll tell us. If KBL turns out to be really important, they'll tell us. Trying to second-guess them is the opposite of enjoying the ride. Just enjoy the ride.

Agree 100%, micro analyzing TV shows is the Nut-Low path to viewing enjoyment.

Probably should not have linked to a conspiracy thread from Reddit but the question Electricladylnd asked was also something that I've wondered about and didn't seem to 'sit right' based on the rest of what we have seen.

That sort of fascination with detail was sorta fun with Lost, but I felt like that attitude directly contributed to people setting up the show to be able to give compelling resolution to a huge range of problems and thus a lot of people were disappointed in what I thought was a great ending. But since then it feels like showrunners know that a portion of the market love being titillated by these almost gratuitous details that people love to hunt for and attach significance to, most of which amount to nothing, and manipulate this need for answers by just asking more questions. I don't want to be a part of that, and it runs counter to being in the moment, which feels like the best way to enjoy most things that aren't Primer.

I feel like I remember something happening in season 2 where they find out the lot is worth a lot less than they hoped, I think it was Cicero saying it?

I tried to watch this show but I just finished Shameless and I can't stand "sober Lip".

Maybe I'll give it a shot in a few months.
