Yeah the PC babies bit is amusing, but not strong enough to carry a whole episode.

+1, and the “Everyone has anxiety” riffs can’t carry an episode either.

Swing and a miss, but still a super solid season

I liked the rape and killing of happiness in the song, and the father thanking this wife for saying that, then following it up with calling her a b!tch for lying to and patronizing him.

For such an easy target like Amazon, I feel they fell a bit short, although I suppose I should reserve judgment until part 2. But for now I'd say they did a better job skewering Walmart.

I didn’t get the reference either, but I’m not above laughing at the back of his head being a buttcrack.

Stotch's?
d'oh!

I always thought it was "Scotch" because of Butters' name.

The two-part Star Trek (TOS) episode is called "The Menagerie".

The whole episode felt too much like the Walmart episode. They've done this before so it's not worth a two-part season ending story.

In this week's episode I think they did a better job (but not a great job) skewering modern human nature than Amazon itself (e.g. "Where's my stuff? I want my stuff" & "oh no don't take away my prime membership").

Of course, dunking on modern humans should be just as easy as dunking on Amazon...

Also, how certain are we that this was the 1st of a two-parter? Could easily be a standalone episode, and I hadn't seen anything that indicates a legit cliffhanger or media to the effect of "stay tuned for next week"

I think it ended with “to be continued”

Wikipedia definitely says it's part one of a two part series concluder

Agree that this feels like a **** version of the Walmart episode, which at least had some decent moments (Princess Kenny!)

I've kind of held back posting my thoughts in general in this thread though as it seems people don't want negativity and I've thought most of this season has sucked outside of the really solid opening episode and the PC babies angle. If I consider the PC babies stuff to be one episode then it's a hitrate of 2 passmarks out of 9 episode which puts it right down in probably the bottom 5 worst seasons of all time (I couldn't really split beyond that without actually fully reviewing every episode in each of the worst seasons)

I thought the PC babies bit was dumb and is them stretching to try to include comedy for political conservatives.

The PC babies bit is a participation trophy so conservatives don't get their feelings hurt when every other joke is at their expense.

This is an old interview. But, I think it still applies.

Question: are you two guys liberal or conservative? me and my freinds have had debates about this.

Trey: We avoid extremes but we hate liberals more than conservatives and we hate them.

Matt: I hate conservatives but I really ****ing hate liberals.

SP jokes have consistently been about 60-70% aimed at liberals throughout all 22 seasons. But if you really think it's the opposite it just goes to show how brilliant they are at making fun of everyone.

Anyone can watch SP through their own rose colored glasses and feel like it's a safe space for whatever political bias they have.

Agree it's been stretched out, but I think it's more that they just seem to have so little material this season that they've had to keep going back to it.

To be fair if I knew anything at all about that Red Dead game or whatever I might have enjoyed this season a bit more. Even without knowing anything about it I had some good laughs at some of those bits like the cop walking out and then his wife taking over his account.

I've liked quite a few, liked this episode a lot.

South Park is just a show that makes fun of stuff and not some consistent ideology.
