and the ones I didn't list weren't bad either. That's 7 awesome episodes in a 14-episode season.

other than AWESOM-O, i don't think these are great episodes. i'll try to rewatch all of season 8 this weekend and still see if i feel the same way.

Really great episode but I can see why a lot wouldn't like it. Is comedy central towlyey (lol!) and theyre saying theyll walk out if they dont go back to the way they were? Obv wrt the censoring or am I reading too far into that? I dont get what the other plot is, but I def feel like there is some meaning here when they bring in towlyey and the "special" crew for a ridiculous episode right after getting dissed hard by CC.

Did not like the episode. I only laughed at Cartman's part, other parts had me falling asleep.

imo it's a nod to the old 50s cartoons:

Which is obviously a Steinbeck reference. FFS read a book?

I enjoyed it fwiw. Loved the Looney Tunes send up. Watched those damn cartoons religiously as a kid.

If you have the DVDs of Season 11 go watch the ep commentary for "The Snuke." In there they talk about how that show had originally been Towelie intervention. I imagine they just came back to that material and added in the Looney Tunes stuff.

I love Towelie but they haven't used him correctly since the original episode with the Ocama Gamesphere (top 5 ep ever, btw). Not a good finale overall, was expecting a lot more from what sounded like a good plot.

RE: GTWW, it had Butters getting hit, Cartman naked, Butter as a dog. I didn't remember it when he listed it so went to watch it again, A+.
wow, you made a list of the best episodes of season 8 and didn't include Goobacks? Imo easily a top 5 episode, way better than GTWW, Jeffersons, WCC, Pre-School (wich sucked imo), ...

Quest for Ratings, Something Wall-Mart This Way Comes, Douche and Turd, Gooback, You got F'd in the A, and Up the Down Steroid were all gold too. That season is just amazing as a whole.

I actually thought The Jeffersons and Pre-School weren't that good overall, and pale in comparison to the rest of the season.

This, I missed the ending, because I fell asleep. This was one of my least favorite episodes. I smiled when Cartman busted out a second piece of paper to read from about the Jews, but that was about it.
