yeah, definitely. would be much better writing to have next episode be:

- Jax brings all that **** to the table
- They vote to kill clay
- They kill clay
- Deal with the irish falls
- Feds go Rico on their asses
- Everyone goes to prison and the club is no more

Then we could have people angry about why Jax didn't realize the obvious fact that if they do away with the bastard they're all ****ed and how the writing is so dumb

The point is that the writing would make sense if Jax would make it clear (to the viewer) that he really is stalling everything because he knows he can't move against Clay yet. But it seems as though he is actually trying to come up with something to take to the table so that they can legit kill Clay.

Also, as has been listed, Clay killed Jax's dad, killed Piney in cold blood, beat Gemma and tried to kill Tara. And I feel that much, much more emphasis really needs to be put on the attempted Tara hit. Clay ordered a ****ing cartel hit on Tara, Jax's wife, and the only reason she's alive is because they lucked out that the cartel is in bed with the CIA. Given all this, Jax should have had Clay completely neutralized when this season started. You don't have to kill him but hell why not put him in a wheelchair. Just allowing Clay to go on about his life unchecked with just Juice (who is a weak bitch) to babysit him when not at home is just horrid writing and unrealistic (lol tv) given everything that went down.

you're missing the point. jax is now going through an elaborate process "to get stuff on clay" when he already has plenty of stuff on clay. his motivations make zero sense. it's bad writing.

Doesn't Gemma know about the Cartel and the CIA? Jax just had to tell her "Mom, we need to stall on killing Clay until the Irish thing gets squared away so wacth him." Bobby knows, "Bobby, this sht is getting real hard to keep from the group, I don't know if we can slow this sht down enough before I kill Clay and it all goes to hell."

Clay being alive is ruining the show completely. The show is filled with ridiculous storylines and they all revolve around him. Just kill the dude already plz.

despite everything being stupid, I'm somewhat amused at how basically every member of the club has a different piece of the puzzle but none has the entire thing complete.
Jax knows everything except Juice talking to the Feds
Bobby knows everything except Juice talking to the Feds and may not have all the Clay history
Juice knows about himself talking to the Feds but not the greater picture
Clay knows everything except for the cartel being CIA
Chibbs knows about Clay's involvement with the Nomads but nothing else
Tig, as usual, knows nothing

Dead on. This was a train wreck of an episode. This season is going no where fast.

The guys shoulda never made it back from leprechaun land alive. This show blows now.



I kinda want everyone to die now except Chibbs cuz he was in Braveheart and Braveheart was badass. Everyone else needs a stake thru their ****ing heart.

Flipping through the channels the other night I came across a movie called "Hero Wanted" where both Chibs and Tig played bad ass bank robbers.

Some serious nitpicks in this thread. I'm all for commenting on poor writing or plotholes but Gemma falling asleep at the wheel isn't one of them.

It's hard to believe you can fall asleep at the wheel after being exhausted and smoking a fatty ? And sorry to burst your bubble but it's easier to fall asleep at the wheel on a dark somewhat deserted highway than it is driving in the city.

As far as Clay being still alive , that is somewhat lame. They have enough proof to bring to the Irish even if the Irish only want to deal with Clay.

I really hope Clay doesn't survive this season. I'll agree with all of you about "bad writing" if he's still around by season's end.

I'm not sure why all the hate with the Clay-Juice convo. It seems obvious Clay realized Juice has some dirt on him and was looking for leverage , which he got. (Albeit somewhat easily). Juice is a terrible liar.

It's also quite funny that last season seems to be considered the best , and now after 7 episodes "this show sucks". C'mon people. I know TV shows don't warrant loyalty if they suffer in quality but it seems like everyone expects every single episode to be better than the last.

Give the season a chance.

Maybe if Clay would have been killed, but even then, Season 2 was the best.

season 2 easily the best

I'll re-watch S2 , but I remember S4 as being better. It certainly was better than S3 and S1 imo.

My point was that it seems some posters here believe the quality of the show has been on a downward slide since the beginning and somehow this season is "the last straw" which I really don't understand.

S4 had three things going for it.

1. It followed S3.

2. It created this huge feeling every week of "oh **** they are building up to something huge. It's about to go down." And it delivered enough every week to keep people satisfied but still wondering when it was going to hit the fan.

3. It followed S3

For me it's not a must watch anymore. It's a well nothing else is on now ill watch what I DVR'd. I can't explain it, maybe it's a little too unrealistic for me.

Ya definitely getting to this point for me also.

Same for me, if they dont kill Clay and substantially develop the storyline further, there is no chance of getting out of the friendzone.
