Sons of Anarchy Season 5 Sons of Anarchy Season 5

I just can't get past the fact that they have plenty of sht on Clay and they are still looking for more evidence. It is one thing but it looks like the foundation of this season.

I did like what they did with Clay going to the Cartel, interested to see what happens.

I liked the reactions from the guys after finding out Juice is part black, as well as Clay last week, but then it reminds me how stupid that plot was last season.

I have enjoyed the this season but the piss poor writing is really offputting and rips me out of the show.

If I was Jax I would have told the head of the Grims that in exchange for his cousin Suge Knight's life they had to kill Clay and that would end everything.

Great episode.. glad to see the pieces to this seasons puzzle are starting to really take place.

I'd like to think that the real CIA wouldn't be so quick to out themselves when confronted with an accusation.

That was just an utterly ******ed scene when he stabbed the nurse. In the past eps they mentioned he likes to stick things in people's ears.

So basically in the prison system he'd be known for having a violent temperament and they woulda had a few dudes there to make sure he didnt make a rukus even if he was sick. Basically that scene would never go down like that, they treated him like he was just another passive prisoner that was no threat. Basically the entire scene was bull****.

Pretty sure ALL of the scenes with Otto and Tara would have included a guard too, you dont just leave violent sociopaths alone in a room with a hot doctor even if he is locked up and drugged to the gills which he wasnt. STupid is ****ing stupid and Sutter's writing fits the bill.

I thought the episode was way over the top and I hated it. Too many bike chases (enough of them already), too many bull**** story lines started again (Clay and the cartel, the brotherhood with the black bikers torn apart, Tara being pulled into this heavily and will have to deal with it, probably one more I forgot) and quite pointless overall. There doesnt seem to be any progress, Clay would have been killed yesterday, yet Sutter thinks he writes good TV if he lets him live forever.

Sorry, this scene was utterly ridiculous.
A) Clay would have never come up with that connection, NEVER.
B) Them admitting to it is loltastic, yeah, right.
C) The cartel asking Clay what he wants that aggressively is just plainly ridiculous.

Overall, the club is portrayed way too powerful for what it is. In a normal TV show, they would all have been killed by now and the show was over (I am not even talking real life here).

What should have happened from last season:
Clay should have been killed.
The club should have joined another, bigger club to get protection and the show should have taken it from there.
This would have been an interesting struggle. Now, we just have Jax going all badass on everybody when no one trusts him. This is laughably bad.

I can't believe the "Juice's father was black" storyline keeps popping up. How on earth could they make that so intricate to the plot?? It should have been dropped almost as quickly as it was brought up.

yea if there is one criticism of SoA it is that it's ripping off Breaking Bad with Jax' personality change.

Looks like a social responsibility moral thingy. Felt like I was watching a 90210 episode when Bobby says "I think it's time we change some of the bylaws"

ok WTF was up with the scene at the beginning where tara goes into the baby's room all quiet and tiptoe then bangs her feet on that music box thingy to wake the baby up then cuddles him?! that's the weirdest **** ive ever seen. by this + the weirdo perfume scene last ep are they implying she's slowly going full psycho?

so every show in which the main character is not linear and his evolution tends towards the negative is going to be ripping off breaking bad? think man, think.

Is it just me or did anyone else pick up on Jax's fake (IMO) eagerness to please Pope? The line where he says "just following your lead man" made me instantly think he's got a long-term, intricate, plan to kill him.

Too many bike chases
wtf there were exactly zero bike chases this episode

Also altho maybe this can be considered nittery but there's 0, ZERO, chance tara's thing even gets to court with the kind of lawyers the MC can afford. The case would be purely circumstantial with absolutely no hard evidence.

The beginning was a continuation of the previous episode so it seemed like Tara was alone since Jax took off and she probably just wanted to feel like someone needed her company so she woke up her kid.

Tara should have taken the crucifix and replaced it with a pen or some other item when she was left alone.

Tara's character has fallen harder than Jax's imo. I have a hard time reconciling her increasingly bizarre behavior with any behavior which suggests she is clinging to a measure of normalcy.

I've been assuming Jax has an intricate plan to kill Pope since the minute that pipe splattered Opie's skull all over the place. I also assume that Pope is so ate up with the hubris that he couldn't read it all over Jax's face when Jax was negotiating the terms of their working together before getting released from prison. And yes, again when they spoke this past episode.

Since Jax is hellbent on killing anyone that had anything to do with Opies death means Pope has to be on the top of his list. The guard and the cousin were just following orders and they really had no other choice or possible chance of disobeying since Pope was pulling the strings. If they had to go in Jax's mind then Pope definitely has to go.

The show made a big point of conveying how Pope has a team of independent contractors on standby ready to go after a $5 million bounty should anyone ever take him out.

If Sutter is idiotic enough to have Jax kill Pope and not have a bullet in his own head the very next episode, then he is a much, much, much worse writer than I could have ever anticipated and the whole show can just go ahead and **** off.

edit- Not to even mention, Pope is that end-of-the-game type mega boss and he's been at this for decades. I'm sure countless people have tried to take his throne and all have failed, to have some two-bit MC charter president be the one to take him down would be so comically lame.

This is so glaringly obvious.

A few subtle (maybe not subtle) things I saw.

Jax told Pope "you have my word" in the car.

Then about 3 minutes later, he tells the black biker leader from Lodi "you have my word" and then kills the Mofo anyway.

Therefore, Jax is lying to Pope, therefore, Pope is a dead man in the season finale 100%.

also, I like how they are making Jax turn into clay right before our eyes. All it took was Opie's death.

How you say?

Last season, Clay said "you have my word" at least 5 times to people when he was lying right to their face. Jax saying the exact same phrase is no coincedence. Also Jax used to be the calm one, now he is actually worse for the club than Clay. He's not thinking at all, at least Clay had a plan when he was doing things. Jax is all revenge all the time right now. Only around Pope is he playing it coy.

lastly, there is no way old man river Clay figured out that the Cartel guys were CIA. Just a 0% chance of that happening. Clay has referred to himself as "just a mechanic" and "not the brains of the operation"

as posted above, that whole exchange was so ******ed its beyond belief. Clay wouldn't figure it out, and even if he did, those guys would be like, wtf you talking about ese? We aren't CIA.

Also, why would those guys even take a meeting with Clay? Clay is just a member.

See, this is exactly how Pope thinks ^. But one problem with that attitude is that once you're dead you're still dead...even IF your contractors avenge your death.

I assume if Pope ends up going down, there will be some convoluted plan in place that makes it look like it wasn't Jax's doing.
