Just told him that he'd be getting out and to always stand behind Jax and never vote against him on club matters. And the cops raided/arrested everyone in the pimp den (or was that before that scene?)

So do we know if Jax is really planning on letting pope kill trig, or was that just a lie to pope? Or are we not supposed to know yet.

Good episode. Opie being the one to be sacrificed was obvious but inevitable. As for Clay still being alive while Opie lives, Jax explained it fairly well - the Irish will not deal with anyone but Clay. Jax's "Hamlet" like choice last season was between killing Clay and achieving justice for Piney, and keeping the club alive.

That was awesome television and I loved it. I really wanted Zobelle to get it when he was the main villain but Pope is doing a pretty good job of catching up. I'm definitely ready for that cop to go though.

I'm not sold on the idea that Jax is going to give up Tig. I'm kind of 50/50 on it. Jax has always been a bros before joes kind of guy. I think he may hate Pope too much to oblige him.

I just don't think that tension was earned in a way that makes me want to watch. It's a good scene in a vacuum- but to me the way they got there just ruins it.

It's not like it's just this one thing. The show has been alternating between good and terrible for 2 seasons. This was just the straw that broke the camel's back. (And the fact that Opie was, to me, about the only remaining sympathetic character they had).

I disagree, depending on where you're coming from. I don't think the show will allow Jax to give up Tig. That being said, I think Jax is at an emotional point where he really did mean it when he said it, and could give a **** about Tig. Tig is a complete and total ****up who does whatever the **** he wants when he wants to, and it ultimately got Opie killed and the club in an ass load of trouble.

I had this discussion with my wife last night when she said, "ahh, I really hope Jax doesn't give Tig up," like Tig is this fun, amusing character. He's a piece of **** as a human being.

I am so surprised there were all these Opie fans out there. To me he was the perfect choice since his character had gotten on my nerves. First he was this moralist anchor which I get but then he just turned into this moody emo person who mumbled incessantly about his Dad and was a drag on everyone he interacted with. I started getting impatient when ever he was on screen since I knew it would be some self righteous speech about getting out of the gang, or his Dad, or how he just can't love anyone anymore or how he now judges Jax very harshly for some reason etc.

Fyp, the show has always been kinda dumb just like all American tv/movies. Its getting dumber too (all entertainment) cuz they want more bang for their buck to keep people stimulated and entertained while sacrificing some things here and there.


This show did go from "must see tv" to "eehhh...... lets just see" but its still really entertaining imo. Just dont think to much about it or any entertainment in the US and you will like it a lot better.

He was the most screwed over character in the show by far. His wife was murdered by Tig because FBI bitch set him up and Tig is dumb with Opie being the target on Clay's orders, then he finds a new wife who leaves him because she cant settle down, then his father is murdered by Clay, then his best friend doesnt let him get revenge for the murder of his father and wife. He lost his entire family, he couldnt be with his kids anymore and he wanted Jax to let the club burn in a RICO with everyone going to prison just so he could get revenge on Piney's murder.

There was nothing left for him, he was already close to the edge talking about how it wasnt worth it anymore but in the last moment he realised he could save Chibs and the club by sacrificing himself. He let himself be killed so he could achieve some meaning that he didnt have in life knowing Jax's debt to him for such a sacrifice is so large he would get the revenge he wants from beyond the grave.

God do i really need to clear this up for all of you.
Dids ( and you guys) are allowed to bitch and moan if you are watching the show/have watched the show etc. Dids (and you) have the right to come in after watching a show and be totally pissed. What Dids can't do next week is, not watch the EP and come in and say "lol you guys are still watching this crappy show" or coming week in and week out and just bashing bashing bashing.

HOWEVER
if Dids does watch next and comes back and says "I gave it another chance i was just boo hoo about opie " thats his right too.

We try and keep this place strict but fair, I would expect you guys to be treated the same.

1- If you want to bitch about moderation there's ATF for that.

2- If you want to make personal attacks on posters, there's nowhere for that. Attack ideas, not posters- and yes "lolINSTERUSERNAMEHERE" is something I consider an attack.

3- There is a very meaningful difference between not watching a show and popping in to say it sucks and posting about why a specific event on the latest ep made you stop watching the show.
