Has potential, but honestly for years I watch the open and FF thru 90% of the skits they are mostly all garbage and watch Weekend Update and I'm done.

I listen to the bill bert podcast and this was pretty much stuff he pulled from there, so I've heard it before and didn't think it was that funny then either.

Another dud.

Bill Burr was his normal overrated and not really funny self. The 15 minute cold open was terrible with Maya Rudolph continuing to to be unwatchable, and Jim Carrey not being great either.

The opening was terrible I agree. But Bill's monologue, weekend update and Jack White were all good. Woke Gangsters was also a pretty funny sketch. Bill was good in everything.

Not a dud for me. But I mostly watch for update.

I haven't watched it yet, but regardless of how this show went Mulaney is a top tier stand up and definitely upper echelon all time host of SNL.

Yeah, this.

I watched. Mulaney was good as expected. I thought the opening monologue was funny and well done. Not his best one, but way above the average monologue which mostly brings nothing to the table.

I watched it and the show was mostly a whiff(I don't bother with the Carrey/Rudolph unfunniness so I don't know about that), but Mulaney is still elite.

Cold Open, Monologue and 1st skit was great. I can't believe the stuff they let him say, and smoking a cigarette, I don't think I have seen that for a long time.

It will probably be the best of the season, but still wasn't all that good. Get rid of this Maya Rudolph and Jim Carrey ****, before Harris is the actual president and we're stuck with this for multiple more years. Failing with 3 of the best stand-ups in Chappelle, Chris Rock, and Mulaney is a shame.

I'm a big Jim Carrey fan, but his Biden is painfully bad. His overwhelmingly physical/energetic style is not a good fit. He's played more subdued dramatic roles (Eternal Sunshine, Truman Show, The Majestic) but apparently he can't or won't dial it down below an 11 in his comic performances.

SNL Biden is always going to be a letdown after SNL Trump- there's just so much less golden source material to mine. But it's not an impossible ask- Woody Harrelson's Biden was actually funny. Jason Sudeikis was good too. Hopefully they aren't too committed to Carrey here.
