Che can't even pronounce words. He read the word sedatives as se-day-tives.

But he is still about a million times better than Jost.

Amy Adams coke nose had me rolling in the Cuba skit.

B- episode. Thought the doctor evil open was a good idea but could have been better than just references to Austin Powers movies.

Amy Adams is solid but not sure about the insistence that she sing in everything.

Interesting to see the negative press the Cuba sketch got. Criticized for being lazy stereotype based humour.

Don't think Jost is that bad. Just new and following some better update line ups.

How many times per episode does Keenan just save something that is bombing or make something that shouldn't be funny be the highlight of the sketch.

I love Keenan. Neighbor Willie was great, for really no reason other than "Keenan reacts"

Care to elaborate why?

I think Jost would be funnier if they gave him some jokes that made him look like a closet racist who thinks Che is illiterate.

I've thought the same thing. They've done a couple bits that sort of hint at it, but I think playing off the differences between the hosts more would be smart -- turn them into characters instead of boring guys reading jokes at us.

i don't think Jost has it in him to play anything resembling a character. Neither of them do really.

btw, i hate Kevin Hart but Z-shirt and the bookend wake sketch from the same episode was probably my favorite sketch in 5 years. i don't know why. i kinda miss Tim Robinson

I always think of All That or Keenan and Kel when I see Keenan. Man those shows were good at being bad.

Farthest Keenan can go is a sidekick in a comedy imo.

I just found out SNL has a bunch of skits that were cut out due to time constraints for broadcast.

And they are far funnier than what did air.

One reviewer asked the same question I did, what is wrong with Lorne Michaels?

I think a lot of interesting stuff gets cut in dress (and likely before that) because they're afraid to take risks and think people just want to see the man baby/girlfriends talk show/etc.

I watched one of the cut for time skits from the Amy Adams ep on YouTube (it was a play on Love Actually) and it was spectacularly unfunny.

Better than the last time Kevin Hart was on. Did they use one of those trick cameras like in the hobbit to make people look massively different sizes or can he really be that short?

no sketch touched Z shirt.

The Bushwick one was good, James Brown was good, rap and fart music sketches were decent, WU was actually solid. The rest was terrible. The friggin 12 minute monologue joke was not worth 3 minutes.

That was definitely a solid episode of SNL. Kevin Hart is a good host.

I hate Kevin Hart, hated the episode, although the James Brown sketch made me laugh.

Weekend update actually had some good jokes, but Jost's delivery ruined most of em.

Kevin Hart is sort of like Melissa McCarthy in that he throws himself completely into the material he is given, making even a lazily written show watchable, as long as you like watching ridiculous, over-the-top characters.

I thought the cold open, monologue and James Brown were high points. Good episode overall.

Kevin Hart was good with the Why'd you post that skit's technical failures. He was prepared to do the skit without the TV which is good commitment and improvisation.

Also found it funny that in the cold opening scene you could see the cameraman's giant cue cards in the reflection of the picture frame.

Cold open was funny tonight. I'm a sucker for anything Sorkin-related.
