christina applegate episode was great all the way through, especially compared to last week.

Interestingly the cold open debate was the weakest of all the sketches, and pharoah crushed it.

Applegate was really good---she's super talented.

So Kate Mckinnon has undoubtedly become the go-to girl already, eh? Vanessa Bayer has basically been MIA this year, shes being used like abby elliott was when she was phased off the show.

i feel like that stupid Californians skit is a perfect example of how terrible Vanessa is. Her maid is awful, and when they all have to make stupid faces, she can't even manage to do that.

Bayer was in like 3/4 sketches this week. Have no idea why people think she was MIA. Also have no idea why people think she sucks. Applegate and Passion Pit were both great.

Fwiw I like Bayer---J pop and miley cyrus are two of my favorite skits of the past few years.

its not that she's not visible, but it just doesn't feel like they are featuring her anymore.

In most skits she is some minor unimportant character, that you can't really do much with. All the other women (minus Aidy Bryant) got multiple minutes at a time on camera to work with

I assumed Bayer was going to get a chance to shine with Wiig leaving, she definitely hasn't had that chance this year.
