Can anyone point me to instances where Will Ferrell is funny, at any point in his career? There were some funny parts in Step Brothers, but that wasn't really his doing.

Yeah, he seemed to be trying to dress up a heaping pile of garbage all night. SNL really shouldn't be a weekly thing anymore. They only ever seem to put on a decent show when they aren't on for a few weeks prior.

I think people would also ***** about it if he had walked out there with Gasteyer and done the music teacher sketch yet again, etc. Doing GWB was probably good enough for nostalgia, the cold open was the best part of the show imo.

I liked the Ansari sketch and the reality TV show with the three couples sketch.
The one where Ferrell owned the company and had a hissy fit wasn't bad, but really went nowhere.

The rest was not good.

I thought he was funny in Anchorman and Old School, but in general I agree. I normally don't find him funny and think he is pretty overrated.

Hader was good as host this week. The old man in a scooter and office potty sketches had me dying (Californians was terrible as usual, but Pete Davidson redeemed it a bit)
